Which Actress Should Play the Last Princess of Alderran?
Now that Disney has expanded its library of fairy tale princesses to include its first space princess, the question is: How does the "House of Mouse" plan to utilize Leia Organa, last princess of the doomed planet Alderran, twin brother to Luke Skywalker, and daughter of evil Sith warlord Darth Vader. Concurrent with the announcement of the purchase of Lucasfilm Ltd., Disney revealed that Star Wars: Episode VII would be blasting into theaters in 2015, which we later learned would be written by Michael Arndt (Little Miss Sunshine); however, nothing about the plot has been revealed.
All three of the principal actors who starred in the original trilogy — Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher — have expressed interest in returning in the new movie and it's likely that Disney will want to capitalize on the popularity of Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Leia Organa, but whether Disney brings back the original cast members as a way of bridging the original trilogy with the new trilogy or reboots the characters with younger actors is anyone's guess. Considering how well Paramount's Star Trek reboot was received by the general audience and even die-hard Trekkers and Trekkies, coupled with the fact that Disney skews young, we're thinking Star Wars will get the reboot.
We already asked you to vote for the best actors to play Luke Skywalker and Han Solo. Now, we want to know who you think has what it takes to wag her finger in the face of evil as the feisty princess with a preference for scoundrels?

Who Should Play the Fashionista Founding Avenger?
It's hard to find a moviegoer who has seen The Avengers who didn't love the movie — it's got a 92% approval rating among critics and an incredible 96% approval rating among fans on aggregate review site RottenTomatoes. Nevertheless, some die-hard comic book fans are still a little bent out of shape that Ant-Man and Wasp weren't included in some way, considering the diminutive heroes were both founding members of the super team in the Marvel comic books (Wasp even christened the team "Avengers" after their first battle with Loki). Though it hasn't specifically been said, it's generally understood that Marvel President of Production Kevin Feige has held Ant-Man in reserve to give co-writers Edgar Wright (Scott Pilgrim vs. The World) and Joe Cornish (Attack the Block) time to finish their Ant-Man screenplay.
What does Ant-Man have to do with Wasp, you ask? Well, wealthy debutante Janet Van Dyne, a.k.a. Wasp, has been linked to Henry "Hank" Pym, a.k.a. Ant-Man, since her first appearance in Tales to Astonish #44 (June 1963). Initially only Pym's lab assistant, Van Dyne eventually teamed up with Ant-Man as Wasp — using the same "Pym Particles" that Hank uses to shrink, but also undergoing a procedure that gave her wings and a bio-chemical energy blast dubbed "wasp's stings" — to avenge her father's death. The two fell in and out of love over the years, but Van Dyne has always fought the good fight as Wasp whenever she has been needed. It's possible that Marvel will introduce Wasp in The Avengers 2, but considering her connection to Pym, we're betting on her making her big screen debut in Ant-Man, which hits theaters six months after the Avengers sequel. Who do you think has the right stuff to play the socialite superhero?

The first trailer for acclaimed filmmaker Brian De Palma's (Scarface, The Untouchables) new sexually-charged psychological thriller, Passion, has been released online. A remake of the 2010 French movie Love Crime, Passion will debut at the 69th Venice Film Festival (La Biennale di Venezia), where it will compete for the prestigious Golden Lion award.
The movie stars Rachel McAdams (Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows) as Christine, a ruthless business executive who enjoys using and abusing people for her own personal amusement, and Noomi Rapace (Prometheus) as Isabelle, an ambitious but naive administrative assistant who routinely suffers both professional and personal humiliations at the hands of Christine. Love, lust, sex, murder, money, manipulation...Passion has everything we've come to expect from the brilliant mind of De Palma. watch the trailer >> Posted 08.24.12 by BrentJS
With such a successful weekend at the box office, it's no surprise that The Vow broke yet another record. The romantic drama first led the biggest non-holiday February weekend ever, making over $41.7 million, but then went ahead and followed the weekend with earning $11.6 million on Valentine's day. It has now been dubbed the highest earning mid-week Valentine's day box office movie. According to CNN Entertainment, The Vow has also become the best debut ever for producer Screen Gems.
The success of The Vow may be due to casting the king and queen (Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum) of romantic dramas. That pairing seems a sure fire way to tug the heart strings of audience members. The "based on a real life couple's experience with memory loss and love" angle doesn't hurt either.

Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey Jr.) is facing his biggest threat yet in the upcoming sequel Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, but the latest trailer only gives a few more glimpses of what's in store.
It's no secret that Holmes' arch-nemesis Professor Moriarty (Jared Harris) is the cause of trouble in A Game of Shadows, but the first action-packed trailer released three months ago only briefly showed Moriarty. While the latest trailer has plenty of new footage to reveal — including an official look at Rachel McAdams reprising her Sherlock Holmes role of Irene Adler, "spy" videos unofficially revealed McAdams in February. The new trailer has only a few new shots of Harris as Moriarty, mostly featuring looks at Holmes, Watson (Jude Law), and the gypsy Sim (Noomi Rapace) running past cannon fire and dodging bullets and other various explosions — there's only a few new shots of Harris as Moriarty. watch the trailer >> Posted 10.20.11 by Ryan

Our first Facebook movie game, ClusterFlick, plays off that old "six degrees of separation" theory — you know, the one that has a certain Kevin at the center of the Hollywood universe. Guess we know now. It's been in question if Rachel McAdams would reprise her role as Holmes' (Robert Downey Jr.) femme foil, Irene Adler, in director Guy Ritchie's sequel to Sherlock Holmes, Sherlock Holmes 2 (working title). However, StrasTV has released a new "spy video" from the set of the movie that seems to confirm McAdams' appearance in the sequel as she can be seen attired in period costume standing next to Ritchie (at the :22 mark).
The French-language video also offers a brief glimpse at one of the action sequences being filmed and includes a few still images of Downey, Jr. bundling up against the cold. more about Sherlock Holmes 2 >> Posted 02.06.11 by BrentJS
Henry Cavill has yet to be the newly-cast Superman for even a week, but that hasn't stopped opinions from flowing from all corners of the web, mostly concerning the proliferation of British actors playing iconic American superheroes since Cavill's casting means that Superman will join Batman (Christian Bale) and Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield) in that trend.
None of that bothers Superman producer Christopher Nolan, who expressed his approval of Cavill's casting during an interview at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. HitFix reports that while Nolan offered his full support, he revealed that he had little to do with the decision. Who's Up for Lois Lane? >> Posted 02.04.11 by Ryan

Production on Sherlock Holmes 2 is already underway, as evidenced by the "spy pics" taken from the set. Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law reprise their roles from last year's Sherlock Holmes, but whether Rachel McAdams will reprise her role as Irene Adler is unknown, even to McAdams. The actress told MTV that a possibility of her returning is "kind of all still in the process."
They're still doing script work, and we'll see. If I do, it won't be a very big thing. It's not a lead part.
Sherlock Holmes 2 will see a variety of new faces, including Noomi Rapace (the Swedish adaptation of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo), who is playing an unspecified lead role, Jared Harris has been reportedly cast as Holmes' nemesis Professor Moriarty, and Stephen Fry as Holmes' older brother Mycroft.
