Just when it seemed like Paramount's World War Z might be in financial trouble, the adaptation of Max Brooks' best-selling novel hired director of photography Robert Richardson (Shutter Island, Inglourious Basterds) and seemed poised for a June production start. Now, Brad Pitt has some company in the cast.
THR reports that Mireille Enos, star of AMC's critically acclaimed drama The Killing, has joined the cast of World War Z and will play the wife of Pitt, a U.N. worker, and the mother to two girls.
World War Z was adapted by Matthew Michael Carnahan (The Kingdom) and J. Michael Straczynski (Changeling), while Marc Forster (Quantum of Solace) is directing the movie, which starts shooting in London this June. who's entering the Safe House? >>
