Though not exactly a runaway hit at the box office after its first week in theaters, Vincenzo Natali's science fiction-horror movie Splice has put the American-Canadian filmmaker back on Hollywood's radar. After rising to prominence on the strength of his movie Cube in 1997, Natali's follow-up efforts did not make many waves, but now he's being offered all sorts of projects, from an adaptation of J.G. Ballard's novel High Rise to a 3-D reboot of the Swamp Thing franchise. In May, Natali was mentioned as possibly directing an adaptation of William Gibson's cyberpunk novel Neuromancer as his follow-up to Splice and now a press release from Seven Arts Pictures has confirmed the news.
