Adam Rodriguez seemed to be on a huge roll when it was reported that the CSI: Miami actor was cast in both the independent male stripper movie Magic Mike and the upcoming Batman sequel, The Dark Knight Rises. Turns out, Rodriguez couldn't do both movies, telling CeleBuzz that he settled on Magic Mike instead.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to work on Dark Knight because it directly conflicted with the shooting schedule for Magic Mike. There was no way around it. I’m sure it would have been an incredible experience, but I know it worked out for the best.
For those who are unaware of the project, Magic Mike stars Channing Tatum as a male dancer who teaches a younger, inexperienced dancer (Alex Pettyfer) how to hustle while they work in a male strip club owned by Matthew McConaughey. Rodriguez says part of what drew him to the movie was Academy Award–winning director Steven Soderbergh (Ocean's Eleven, Traffic) and then the script, written by Reid Carolin. more from Rodriguez on Magic Mike >> Posted 11.28.11 by Ryan
