Who should play Peter Parker's best frienemy?
Even though director Marc Webb has expressed some reluctance about leaping right back into the swing of things (pardon the pun) with The Amazing Spider-Man 2 so soon after The Amazing Spider-Man, plans for the sequel are moving right along. We recently learned that Shailene Woodley (The Descendants) has been offered the role of Mary Jane Watson, Peter Parker's college girlfriend and eventual wife in the Marvel comic books and his paramour in the Sam Raimi-directed trilogy. And, only days ago, Academy Award-winner Jamie Foxx (Ray) teased fans by tweeting that he had "dressed up as Electro for Halloween," the villain known to be menacing Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) in the sequel, a bold casting move that Webb seemed to confirm when he later called Foxx an "electrifying" actor.
The only other new character that is known to be appearing in the sequel and that does not yet have an actor's name attached is Harry Osborn, son of Norman Osborn, whose company was directly responsible for the creation of both Spider-Man and the Lizard (Rhys Ifans). In the comic books, as in Raimi's movies, Harry was Peter's friend until his father, wearing the guise of the Green Goblin, is killed during a battle with Spider-Man. Harry then takes up the mantle of the Goblin and sets out to destroy Spider-Man. James Franco got his big break by landing the role of Harry in Raimi's trilogy. Who do you think has what it takes to fill Franco's shoes and go tit for tat with Garfield in the sequel?

Who Should Ride the Lightning?
For a time, it appeared as if “The Fastest Man Alive” would be the next DC Comics superhero to get his own feature film. After initially commissioning Dan Mazeau (Wrath of the Titans) to pen a script for a live-action The Flash movie, Warner Bros. (WB) ended up passing on Mazeau’s script and hired Green Lantern writers Michael Green and Marc Guggenheim to write the screenplay. That was over a year ago, however, and WB appears to have put the brakes on all of their planned solo superhero movies as they strategize their next movie in the wake of the end of Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy. Some industry insiders have suggested that WB plans to copy Marvel Studios’ formula for The Avengers, but in reverse — first releasing the super-team movie and then spinning off individual characters into solo movies — which would mean that the Flash's first big screen appearance would be in the Justice League movie.
There have been several superheroes called the Flash, but the current incarnation, and the one that WB is likely to go with in the Justice League movie, is Barry Allen, who works as a forensic scientist when he's not circling the globe looking for trouble. Who do you think has what it takes to play a fast-talking speed freak who is also a detail-oriented detective?

Who Should Rule Atlantis?
First appearing way back in More Fun Comics #73 (Sept. 1941), Aquaman is one of the oldest comic book characters in existence. His longevity in popular culture, coupled with his incredible powers — super strength and durability, telepathy, ability to breathe underwater — and the fact that he is also the king of Atlantis on top of being a superhero should place Aquaman in the upper echelon of comic book characters, yet he has always been considered something of a laughing stock outside of the comic book community. A popular subject of derision on TV shows like Saturday Night Live and The Big Bang Theory, Aquaman's only live-action highlights have come from his appearances on Smallville, as played by Alan Ritchson, and in an Entourage sub-plot in which the too-lean and not-blonde Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier) played the "King of the Seven Seas" in a faux James Cameron movie.
Apparently, there is some talk at Warner Bros. about bringing Aquaman to the big screen in a solo movie, but the studio is far more invested in developing Green Lantern 2, The Flash and Wonder Woman so Aquaman's big screen debut will likely be as part of the ensemble Justice League movie. Who do you think has what it takes to not only salvage Aquaman's reputation, but stand alongside Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and the rest of the Justice Leaguers on the big screen?

Magic Mike's Joe Manganiello made the MTV Movie Awards worth watching this weekend by going on stage as his Big Dick Richie character, complete with fire fighter costume and inappropriate gestures with inanimate objects. Now MTV has even more Magic Mike goodness to share with a new sneak peek of the movie just released. Finally the images that we've been seeing as stills for months now are in action.
The new clip from the movie features dancing with umbrellas in a way that is not even vaguely reminiscent of Gene Kelly, but is quality entertainment, nonetheless. Luckily, this sneak peek focuses more on the fun, buddy-comedy, stripper aspects of the movie, rather than the romance angle that was unfortunately featured in the first trailer. With the end of 2011 coming in just a few days, studios are unloading new photos for their upcoming 2012 slate in an attempt to entice viewers who aren't yet winded by the holiday movie onslaught.
Not opening until June is Warner Brothers' Jack the Giant Killer, which is a riff on the Jack and the Beanstalk tale and follows a young farmhand named Jack (X-Men:First Class' Nicholas Hoult) who opens up a door to another world and must save a princess (Alice in Wonderland's Eleanor Tomlinson) and destroy the giants he has unwittingly unleashed. The new photo, which shows Jack climbing the bean stalk into the other world, is only a screenshot from the recently-released first trailer, but the synopsis below is new.

You've probably heard about Alex Pettyfer's infamous "Thank You" tattoo. Now you might get to see it in the I Am Number Four star's new project.
Pettyfer is set to play a male stripper in Steven Soderbergh's movie Magic Mike, based on Channing Tatum's real-life experience of working the stripper's pole early in his career.
Despite two movies that underperformed (I Am Number Four and Beastly), and a less than flattering reputation, the movie roles keep rolling in for the new star.
The idea of Magic Mike came about when Soderbergh and Tatum were working together on the espionage drama Haywire. According to Deadline, Pettyfer will play a young Tatum baring it all, while Channing plays his older mentor. Posted 05.13.11 by Chris

Despite director Gary Ross only starting the casting process for his upcoming adaptation of The Hunger Games, Warner Bros. has no plans to compete with the movie, based on the first of a trilogy of best-selling novels by Suzanne Collins.
Box Office Mojo reports that the studio has has moved the upcoming Wrath of the Titans — the sequel to last year's Clash of the Titans that is currently in production — from its previously shared release date of March 23, 2012, to a week later, opening instead on March 30, 2012. That leaves that The Hunger Games currently alone on the March 23 weekend. who's up for Peeta? >> Posted 03.16.11 by Ryan
Bourne fans weren't exactly pleased when writer-director Tony Gilroy (Michael Clayton) revealed that that the Bourne 4 script he was working on — titled Bourne Legacy — will be a "stand-alone project" that wouldn't include the character of Jason Bourne but "a whole new hero," which Gilroy later revealed would be a new agent with the same training as Bourne. Gilroy also explained that he didn't want to replace Matt Damon, who had previously announced that he wouldn't do another Bourne without The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum director Paul Greengrass. Greengrass dropped out of the fourth Bourne in December of 2009. Gilroy maintains that Legacy won't permanently replace Damon, leaving open the possibility of his return. who's up for the part? >> Posted 02.25.11 by Ryan

Charlie Sheen's 22-year-old porn star pal Kacey Jordan had a very revealing interview with RadarOnline.com, saying she had her third abortion last week and the baby could've been Charlie's since his condom kept falling off, but that it was probably "too soon" to be his. Jordan says Sheen just wants a simple life that includes porn stars, alcohol, and drugs. "He kept talking about his dream to live his life with all porn stars. To just go to work and come home and we would all be waiting for him in his home with his children and we would take care of them. And there would be drugs and alcohol. That's all he needs."
Whatever weird diet Gwyneth Paltrow is currently on, get us on it, too. The star was seen looking extremely trim and fit on a Caribbean vacation with daughter Apple and son Moses. Paltrow has endorsed eating one meal a day, and has also followed the Maple Syrup Diet, which involves consuming nothing but maple syrup, cayenne pepper, lemon juice, and water.
The protests in Madison, Wisconsin, have gone celebrity — well, maybe B-List celebrity — as Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello will perform for the crowd of union members and supporters. Morello has called Madison "the next Cairo," and Wisconsin governor Scott Walker "the Mubarak of the Midwest."
Glee star Matthew Morrison is seen taking a bite out of new GF Olivia Munn at a Rangers game at Madison Square Garden, while another Glee star, Dianna Agron called it quits with British hunk Alex Pettyfer.
