Which Actor Should Play the Space Pirate?
Unless you've been sentenced to hard labor in the Spice Mines of Kessel or frozen in carbonite for the past few weeks, then you know that George Lucas has sold Lucasfilm Ltd. and that Disney is pushing for a new Star Wars movie to be released in 2015. The details of Star Wars: Episode VII are a closely guarded secret at this point, but we do know that Michael Arndt (Little Miss Sunshine) has been hired to write the screenplay and that Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher have all been approached about it, but whether the trio will be playing older versions of Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Princess Leia Organa or simply signing away their likeness rights for digital proxies is anyone's guess.
As much as we would love to see the original actors come back in some way, shape or form, we would much rather see Disney reboot the characters the way Paramount did with Star Trek. After all, if James Bond, Batman and Sherlock Holmes can survive multiple interations, why not Han, Luke and Leia? We already asked you who you think has the right stuff to play the last Jedi; now, help us choose the space pirate, the scoundrel, the scruffy looking nerf herder.

Just when Lindsay Lohan seemed to be emerging from her legal troubles comes news that she was involved in a hit-and-run last night. TMZ reports that LiLo was leaving the Sayers Club in Hollywood when her Porsche "made contact" with the club's manager. An eyewitness reportedly said the "manager was fine and actually 'got up and started smoking his hookah.'" This morning, however, word is that he went to the emergency room and is planning to press charges.
It's already been decided who will go home on American Idol this week. According to TMZ, Jermaine Jones is being sent home this week due to his criminal record and outstanding warrants. The 25-year-old singer's criminal history was discovered when producers learned that Jones had lied about having been abandoned by his father and decided to take a closer look at his background. Add Jones to Corey Clark and Jared Andrews and you've got enough for a special episode of America's Most Wanted.

Late last night Summit Entertainment confirmed what Twilighters have assumed for a while: Breaking Dawn, the fourth book in Stephenie Meyer's series, will be split into two movies.
Fans can breathe a sigh of relief at the announcement, which also confirms that all the main cast members will be returning for both movies — yes, even Ashley Greene (Alice) and Kellan Lutz (Emmett). more on Summit's news, plus fan reaction >> Posted 06.11.10 by reelz
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse has been a bit quiet on the image side of things recently, but all that looks about to change as Summit Entertainment gears up for the June 30th theatrical release date. Several new movie stills have turned up this week, showing the Cullen boys, Edward and Bella pre-kiss and the nasty looking newborn vampires. more about the new Eclipse images >> Posted 05.07.10 by reelz
Today, Summit Entertainment surprised Twilighters with three anticlimactic stills from the upcoming movie The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. The new images are nothing we haven't seen before, showing the Cullens looking perplexed, Bella brooding, and Edward and Jacob mid face-off.
The Cullens are strangely color coordinated, and look like they should be in a denim commercial rather than gearing up to fight some badass immortals. continue reading >> Posted 03.31.10 by reelz
Filmofilia.com has posted 77 new New Moon images, all taken from the New Moon Official Illustrated Movie Companion, which hits shelves tomorrow.
Now's your chance to see Edward kissing his beloved Bella, the Volturi, Carlisle in the 1800s, many half-naked werewolves, and Robert Pattinson wearing a very nice coat.
We're glad to see that Pattinson's hair has been successfuly Edward-i-fied, and that Kristen Stewart still makes Bella look like a dull, run-of-the-mill high school student. Really, has the costume department forgotten that the character likes to wear a bit of color every now and then? We're wondering how Elizabeth Reaser's Esme has managed to transform herself so successfully, considering her appearance should, in vampire lore, stay exactly as it was in Twilight. And as for Jackson Rathbone's strange stance and facial expression, we're just going to gloss over that one and pretend it doesn't exist.
On the plus side, the Volturi look mean and menacing, and Taylor Lautner looks set to score a legion of female fans. New Moon is definitely well on its way to being the biggest movie of the year, and with no box-office competition to worry about in November, we think it'll dominate theater screens for much longer than Twilight did. New pictures from the set of Eclipse have surfaced, including Carlisle and the wolves and Robert Pattinson, Ashley Greene, and Peter Facinelli on set. Of all the cast, Facinelli could easily pass for a real-life vampire, just look at his pale complexion and platinum blond hair — does he remind you of anyone from vampire TV shows past?
In addition to these new images, the Examiner also has a report round-up from last week's filming. Fan-favorite highlights from the fifth week of Eclipse include director David Slade's tweet about a Bella-Jacob kiss on a mountain, and images of some creepy newborn vampires submerged in water.
Do you think David Slade looks like he's doing a good job bringing the epic, romance-fueled movie to the big screen? Let us know your thoughts in the comments. Posted 09.21.09 by reelz
Fresh from last week's TwiCon, New Moon star Peter Facinelli spoke to OK! magazine about the third movie in the franchise, Eclipse.
According to Mr Carlisle Cullen himself, two week-long Eclipse rehearsals are due to start tomorrow, followed by a week of fight training. He also talked about the action in the movie and the three month filming schedule ahead of him. When asked about the close-knit cast, now minus one key player, he said, "We're really like a family on and off set. I love each and every one of them like they are one of my kids. I'm looking forward to reuniting with them all."
We're glad to hear that Eclipse is going to focus on more of the book's vampire/werewolf action. With a newborn undead army intent on causing havoc for the Cullens, things have never looked so bad in Forks — thank goodness Jacob and Co. leap (literally) to the rescue. Posted 08.04.09 by reelz
