ReelzChannel Celebrity Rundown
Attention celebrities: If you have revealing photos on your phone — delete them now. Mad Men's Christina Hendricks and Olivia Munn are the latest celebrities to have their phones hacked (joining the likes of Scarlett Johansson and Mila Kunis). Over the weekend scandalous photos of both actresses were leaked online showing the two in skimpy outfits. Both actresses are denying that photos showing actual nudity are them. Hendricks' rep told TMZ that a topless shot is not Hendricks. TMZ is reporting that Munn is claiming the same about photos that show a woman completely naked. In both instances the faces of the women being photographed are not in frame.
Reviews of Lindsay Lohan's Saturday Night Live appearance are in and the general consensus is that Lilo should have stayed home. For many sketches Lohan was kept in the background and when she did have lines, she was painfully dependent on cue cards. EW.com was asking readers if Lohan was the worst host of the season (47% said yes) and on Twitter, Joan Rivers commented: "Lindsay Lohan was so bad on SNL that the judge is sending her back to rehab, but for acting lessons.” Someone else tweeted: "#SNL had Lindsay Lohan on mainly so NBC News would have fresh file footage next time she's arrested." Despite the bad reviews, Lilo's episode gave SNL its second-highest ratings of the year.
So what do you do with a hundred thousand dollars worth of wedding gifts after your marriage ends after 72 days? If you're Kim Kardashian you keep them but donate money to charity. In a letter sent to guests who attended her wedding, Kim said she is donating the cash amount of the gifts she received to the Dream Foundation. TMZ reports the total cash value of all gifts is estimated to be around $100K but Kim is cutting a check for twice that amount to the charity.
Over the weekend, Martin Sheen, George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Jamie Lee Curtis, Kevin Bacon, and Chris Colfer were among the stars who performed a one-night benefit reading of Academy Award-winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black's play 8, about the legal battle over California's gay marriage ban, Proposition 8. Meanwhile on CNN's Piers Morgan Tonight, '80s sitcom star Kirk Cameron was blunt about his opposition to homosexuality, saying it is "unnatural and ultimately destructive." He also said he opposed gay marriage.
And in celebrity hair news, Willow Smith can no longer whip her hair back and forth now that she's buzzed it and dyed it green. Posted 03.05.12 by Chris
Fireproof, an independently produced movie starring Kirk "Growing Pains" Cameron as a firefighter whose marriage is about to go up in flames, has now raked in over $13 million at the box office. Typically, a $13 million gross doesn't get your average Hollywood producer burning with envy. But when it only costs $500,000 to produce, well, yes it does! How has Fireproof achieved its success? In part, by keeping production costs down by using a cast and crew made up mainly of church volunteers. (Cameron worked for free too.) Fireproof has also benefited from churches offering free childcare to parents who'd like to see the film.
While we can totally envision a few Hollywood bigshots trying to co-opt the all-volunteer-crew technique, we're not so sure how many would be willing to offer complimentary babysitting services to potential customers. With the exception, of course, of Angelina Jolie, who may even go the Fireproof gang one better and offer to adopt your child if you go see her latest effort, the upcoming Changeling.
