"You're the one that exploits people."
Technology has become so pervasive in our day-to-day lives, it's a surprise that there aren't more movies like the upcoming drama/ thriller Disconnect, directed by the Academy Award–nominated Henry Alex Rubin (Murderball). Centering on "a group of people searching for human connections in today's wired world," the movie stars Jason Bateman (Horrible Bosses) as a father who spends more time with his phone than his son, Alexander Skarsgard (True Blood) and Paula Patton (Mission: Impossible -- Ghost Protocol) as a couple whose online secrecy gets them in trouble, Andrea Riseborough (the upcoming Oblivion) as a journalist investigating a teenager working on an adults-only site, and Frank Grillo (The Grey) as a widowed ex-cop whose son is a cyber-bully. The resulting first trailer is a sobering pastiche of the world we live in, albeit of fairly well-known online dangers, and is anchored by strong performances by the cast. watch the trailer >> Posted 03.04.13 by Ryan
Like we thought, Paula Patton has made it into the promotional campaign for Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol. They just had to make it through the rest of the team first.
After focusing on Tom Cruise's stunt work in the movie's first featurette and trailers, Jeremy Renner's leap into an air shaft was featured in two separate preview clips before Simon Pegg's returning Mission: Impossible III character was the given his own featurette. Finally, Patton's work as the only female member of a disavowed Impossible Mission Force is displayed in the latest preview clip from the sequel. The clip reveals a fight between Patton and Léa Seydoux that involves all the classic catfight staples: punching, breaking furniture, clothes ripping and brandishing a wine opener like a knife. watch the clip and a TV spot >> Posted 12.01.11 by Ryan
The last "spy" footage from the production of Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, the fourth Mission: Impossible movie, showed franchise star Tom Cruise performing a stunt from the Burj Khalifa tower in Dubai (prior to that Cruise was ziplining in Prague). With the production shifting to Vancouver, the latest set photos show the arrival of Simon Pegg and Paula Patton, as Pegg drives Cruise and Patton in a van with Russian characters written on the side.
