Today's Hollywood Headlines
Country crooner Randy Travis was arrested for driving under the influence on Tuesday, and the more details that emerge about the story, the odder it gets. Travis was reportedly found naked in the road with his 1998 Pontiac Trans Am damaged and off the road nearby. He also made threats against Texas state troopers who responded to a 911 call from a passerby. These details bring up all sorts of questions. Was he naked when he got in the car? Did he take his clothes off after the assumed car crash? Why does he drive a '98 Trans Am? Hopefully some of these questions will be answered in the coming weeks.
The September issue is always Vogue's biggest of the year, and this time around the very stylish Lady Gaga is gracing the cover. The Mother Monster tweeted the cover photo and revealed her furry inspiration. According to Gaga, she was "totally channeling fozzibear." Wakka wakka wakka indeed.
Yet again, Madonna is stirring up controversy on her world tour. This time, Madge angered Russian deputy prime minister Dmitry Rogozin when she spoke out in support of an all-girl Russian punk group, Pussy Riot, who are presently facing a three-year prison sentence. Madonna said during a Moscow concert that she was praying for the groups freedom, and Rogozin responded via Twitter by calling the singer a "former slut." The fifth and final installment of the Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn - Part 2, hits theaters this fall, and there are sure to be different dynamics at play with the arrival of a new and key character. Renesmee Cullen (Mackenzie Foy) manages to break the Twilight love triangle, infuriate the Volturi, and change vampire-human dynamics forever just by being born. She certainly deserves a spot alongside Bella (Kristen Stewart), Edward (Robert Pattinson), and Jacob (Taylor Lautner) on the cover of this week's Entertainment Weekly.
The arrival of the newest member of the Cullen clan not only changed the dynamics between the characters, but according to EW's interview with Pattinson, it changed the dynamics among the cast as well. Since vampires stay the same age forever, the cast are all fairly close in age and they're "really not polite to each other anymore," says Pattinson. "You'd have to tone it down when Mackenzie was around." They apparently weren't always successful at remembering a kid was close by, though. "She had a little swear jar, and I think she made 850 bucks or something." Smart girl. More about Renesmee and Breaking Dawn - Part 2 >> Posted 06.13.12 by Mandy
Despite the fact that filming on the final Twilight installments, Breaking Dawn 1 and 2, finished nearly a year ago, looks like Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson will play Edward and Bella one more time.
On the movie's official Facebook page, director Bill Condon announced Stewart and Pattinson are returning to Vancouver, British Columbia, for reshoots for this November's Breaking Dawn: Part 2.
Greetings from Los Angeles, where we’re hard at work on BREAKING DAWN, PART TWO. It’s truly crazy to think that it’s been a year since we wrapped production in Vancouver, since for those of us in the editing room the work has never stopped.
A film is a lot like a puzzle, with each piece – each shot, no matter how brief – needing to fit exactly with the ones around it. Our Part Two puzzle is finally coming into full view, and in a few weeks we’ll be heading back north to pick up some additional shots – the last tiny missing pieces. We’re not shooting any new scenes or dialogue, just some technical work with some of our cast and stunt actors.I am really looking forward to being back on set with some of the friends I’ve made on my Twilight journey, like the great Guillermo Navarro, our cinematographer, and his crew. And yes, Rob and Kristen will be there too, to pop in those gold contacts one last time…
I’m excited to report that before too long we’ll have another trailer for you to decode. And wait until you see the first posters — they’re unlike any “Twilight” images you’ve seen before. And then November 16th will be upon us and the final film will be yours!
Until then, have a very happy spring, and I’ll check back in with you soon.
Unlike Joss Whedon's rumored Avengers reshoots, Condon will have a few months to work the new footage into the movie. Reshoots are rather common for large productions, especially for back-to-back productions (both parts of Breaking Dawn were filmed consecutively). While filming the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Peter Jackson called back the cast several times for reshoots. Posted 04.15.12 by Chris
Yesterday we learned that, though a couple major comic book movies will be skipping Comic-Con this year, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 is still planning to have a presence there. In addition to the panel mentioned earlier, now we've learned from a Summit Entertainment press release that new footage from the movie will be screened at the convention. We also now know that the panel will include director Bill Condon as well as some cast members, and they'll be providing details about the first half of the two-part Twilight finale and taking questions. Along with the panel, Summit Entertainment will also have a booth that features Breaking Dawn Part 1, as well as The Three Musketeers and The Darkest Hour.
So does hearing this news make you want to plan a trip to San Diego for July 21-24? What questions would you have for panel members? And is it a good idea to have that many twi-hards and sci-fi fanatics all in one place together? MORE >> Posted 06.15.11 by Mandy
Elizabeth Reaser — aka Esme Cullen, uber-mom to everyone's favorite vampire clan — is at the Sundance Film Festival promoting Homework, and not surprisingly she's getting asked lots of questions about The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn.
While she hasn't let many production details slip, she's had lots of praise for her co-stars. Reaser described newcomer Mackenzie Foy (Renesmee) as "so professional and just a sweetheart" and has praised Kristen Stewart both for her cookie baking skills and scary newborn transformation. The latest object of Reaser's praise is director Bill Condon. watch the interview >> Posted 01.28.11 by reelz
While there's still a good three months of filming left for the two-part Breaking Dawn finale, the final moments of Part 2 have already been shot. Peter Facinelli — who plays Dr. Carlise Cullen, the head of the Cullen Clan — told MTV, "The other day when we shot that ending sequence, we knew that was the ending of the last two movies and it got a little melancholy." Twihards should grab their inhalers.
If fans of Twilight thought the first released shot of Bella and Edward's honeymoon night was hot, then the newest photo showing the two in bed should be sizzling enough even to make a vampire's blood boil.
Summit Entertainment released a new still from Breaking Dawn: Part 1, which comes out Nov. 18, showing Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Bella (Kristen Stewart) in an intimate position, naked (and probably postcoital) on their honeymoon night.
The image released by the studio is a higher quality shot of the one floating around on the web last week. If the leaked shot teased viewers on what the two were doing, the official photo should leave fans without doubt. what fans can expect in Breaking Dawn >> Posted 01.16.11 by reelz
