Universal has already revealed the first trailer and a sneak peek at their upcoming, live-action Snow White adaptation, Snow White and the Huntsman. While there's still plenty to be revealed about the movie, lately the studio has been content releasing new photos from the movie, most recently with a photo of Chris Hemsworth as the Huntsman, which also offered the first look at the group of dwarves in the movie.
A darker version of the fairytale than its competitor — Relativity Media's Mirror, Mirror — Snow White and the Hunsman sees Snow White (Kristen Stewart) learn to battle against the evil Queen Ravenna (Charlize Theron) by the Huntsman (Hemsworth). The three new stills don't show much of the action of the movie, but offers new looks at Stewart, Theron and Sam Claflin(Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) as the young Prince William who is enamored with Snow White and apparently likes to stand very near open flames. see the photos >> Posted 02.04.12 by Ryan

George Clooney, Meryl Streep, and The Artist were the big award winners at the Golden Globes Sunday night, but more importantly, who won the red carpet? Consensus around the web is Angelina Jolie, who eschewed her usual black for a snow-white-and-red Versace gown, and Charlize Theron in a slitty Dior Couture gown tie for top honors. Worst-dressed award-winners are Michelle Williams and Madonna, who were both labeled "matronly."

It doesn't look like Heather Locklear's ingestion of a drug and alcohol mix last week was a suicide attempt, as it's reported she was just partying with drugs and alcohol. Her family wants her to go back into rehab but Locklear is resisting.
Arnold Schwarzenegger baby mama Mildred Patty Banea is officially back on the market, finally granted the divorce from her husband that she filed for nearly four years ago. Posted 01.16.12 by reelz
A new still image from first-time feature director Rupert Sanders' Snow White adaptation, Snow White and the Huntsman, has been released online via USA Today.
An edgier adaptation of the classic European fairy tale than this year's other adaptation, the whimsical Mirror, Mirror, the movie stars Academy Award-winner Charlize Theron (Monster) as Queen Ravenna, a tyrannical ruler obsessed with her own beauty and maintaining power over her kingdom. When she learns that her stepdaughter, Snow White (Kristen Stewart, The Twilight Saga), will take over her kingdom one day and become the fairest in the land, she sends the Huntsman (Chris Hemsworth, Thor) out to kill the young maiden and cut out her heart so that the queen may consume it and live forever. see the full image of Theron as Queen Ravenna >> Posted 01.07.12 by BrentJS
After hearing for months on end that acclaimed director Ridley Scott's new sci-fi movie, Prometheus — which was originally written by Jon Spaihts to be a prequel to Alien — is not an Alien movie and will "absolutely not" have the iconic black xenomorphs, we finally got our first look at the movie when the trailer debuted last week and... it looked an awful lot like Alien. Now, Academy Award-winning actress Charlize Theron (Monster) has revealed new details about her character in the movie that could point to a direct connection to Alien. what did Theron reveal about her character? As award season begins, there is already Oscar buzz for the upcoming dark comedy Young Adult, which opened last weekend in very limited release (8 theaters total) and will open in many more this weekend.
Most of the early reviews have focused on Charlize Theron's performance as self-absorbed teen fiction writer Mavis Gary, who returns to her small, Midwestern hometown in order to reclaim her high school boyfriend (Patrick Wilson), who is now a happily married man. "Jumping into the deep end with an essentially unlikeable character who is nonetheless compelling and sometimes great fun to watch, Theron is terrific," said THR's Todd McCarthy in his review. "She makes Mavis' arrogance and certainty of her own allure not only convincing but enjoyable."
Theron's "arrogance and certainty of her own allure" is on display in the movie's latest preview clip, which sees Mavis visit a bookstore displaying her books and tries to impress the bookstore employee with her celebrity. watch the clip and an interview with Reitman >> Posted 12.13.11 by Ryan
In case you haven't checked your calendar lately, 2011 is soooo last year (almost). With the year winding down, it's time to look forward to all the awesome movies coming out in 2012.
Fandango released its 2012 Hot List poll, showing what movies and stars moviegoers are most looking forward to seeing next year. Interestingly, the poll divvies up votes by gender. While The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is the most anticipated 2012 blockbuster for men, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 is women's No. 1 pick. Guess women are from Venus and men are from Middle-Earth. Here is the results of Fandango's (unscientific) poll:
2012's MOST ANTICIPATED BLOCKBUSTER:
According to Women
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 2
The Hunger Games
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
According to Men:
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
The Dark Knight Rises
The Bourne Legacy
Men in Black III check out the rest of the results >> Posted 12.11.11 by Chris
We've already seen three preview clips of the upcoming dark comedy Young Adult, and they've all shown the dark side of Academy Award winner Charlize Theron's (Monster) unlikeable character, Mavis Gary. This newly released red band TV spot shows just how nasty the teen fiction writer can get once she returns to her hometown to reclaim her now happily married high school boyfriend (Patrick Wilson).
Young Adult won't be released until next month, but is already receiving plenty of Oscar buzz due to the pairing of Theron with Oscar-nominated director Jason Reitman (Juno, Up In the Air) and Academy Award–winning screenwriter Diablo Cody (Juno). While we doubt this decidedly NSFW TV spot will be used as an Oscar clip, it does show that Young Adult is potentially a very entertaining movie with a great performance from Theron, whose Mavis is not someone you want to spill a drink on. watch the video >> Posted 11.29.11 by Ryan
Twentieth Century Fox and director Ridley Scott have been keeping a tight lid on their upcoming sci-fi epic Prometheus, only revealing one image during this year's Comic-Con, along with two minutes of footage which has yet to arrive online (no trailer has either).
Finally, EW has put a new image from the movie online, and has a few more in its current publication. Still, that hasn't stopped Scott from trying to keep the project a mystery. Initially a prequel to Scott's 1979 sci-fi classic Alien, the arrival of screenwriter Damon Lindelof (Lost, Cowboys and Aliens) left Scott to retitle the prequel Prometheus and declare that the movie would feature "a new, grand mythology and universe in which this original story takes place," that would only have "strands of Alien's DNA". Scott continued to downplay the connection between Prometheus and Alien in the print edition of EW. is it an Alien movie or not? >> Posted 11.23.11 by Ryan
A new poster and three preview clips have arrived online for the upcoming dark comedy Young Adult, from the writer-director team of Juno, Diablo Cody and Jason Reitman.
Young Adult stars Academy Award winner Charlize Theron (Monster) as the extremely unlikeable, teen fiction writer Mavis Gary, who returns to her hometown to reclaim her now happily married high school boyfriend (Patrick Wilson).
Already receiving Oscar buzz, the three clips from Young Adult show that the success or failure of the movie and its possible nominations rests on how audiences embrace Theron's Mavis, described as "the girl you hated in high school." watch the clips >> Posted 11.15.11 by Ryan
Of the two Snow White movies currently in production, Universal Pictures' Snow White and the Huntsman may have lost the battle over release dates, against Relativity Media's Mirror, Mirror, but they are the first to release a trailer.
In contrast to Mirror, Mirror's reportedly lighter tone, Snow White and the Huntsman follows Snow White as she trains in the art of war with the Huntsman, the man tasked to kill her. Advertised as "from the producer of Alice in Wonderland", the first trailer shows that what the two movies do have in common is a deep visual sense. check out the trailer >> Posted 11.10.11 by Ryan
