"Miss Anders... I didn’t recognize you with your clothes on."
It's been 50 years this month since James Bond first made the leap from the printed page to the silver screen with the release of Dr. No in theaters. Six different actors — Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig — have played Ian Fleming's timeless character over the decades and, while his spy gadgets and cars may change, you can always count on Bond to surround himself with beautiful, resourceful, and downright deadly women.
Considering February is Bond Month on Reelz, we thought this would be a great time to look back at the sexy women who have helped to make James Bond the cultural icon of masculinity he has become. Is Ursula Andress's Honey Ryder still the top Bond Girl, the pinnacle of spy intrigue sex appeal, or is it time to christen a new queen?no such thing as too many bond girls

Mickey Rourke isn't the only comeback kid in the upcoming adaptation of Bret Easton Ellis's The Informers. The movie also features Kim Basinger and Billy Bob Thorton, neither in need of a full Rourke-style comeback but definitely recently overshadowed by their respective ex-spouses.
In this short clip, unhappily married couple Basinger and Thorton have a passive-aggressive convo about going to uber-restuarant Spago, as, we suppose one did in 1980s Los Angeles. It reminds us a bit of all the hilarious 80s yuppie restaurant talk in American Psycho. We can only hope this new Bret Easton Ellis picture approachesa similar level of greatness. It's true, X-Men Origins: Wolverine is getting off the ground. Gavin Hood, who headed up this weekend's political thriller, Rendition, is the unlikely choice to direct this fanboy prequel that will explore the 'violent and romantic' early years of Wolverine.
Hugh Jackman will be reprising his role and Liev Schreiber is close to nailing down a deal to play a young William Stryker. Shooting is scheduled for Australia, New Zealand, and New Orleans, which is leading some to speculate that the character of Gambit might be making an appearance.
In other news, Kim Basinger has signed on to join Charlize Theron in Guillermo Arriaga's directorial premiere, The Burning Plain. Arriaga, who wrote Babel, also wrote The Burning Plain, which follows a womaon who tries to repair her relationship with her parents after a troubling childhood. Basinger will play Theron's mother.
