With Resident Evil: Afterlife's release date fast approaching, Sony Screen Gems has released four clips of the movie to remind audiences that the upcoming sequel will soon be stealing all the 3-D screens currently being used by Piranha 3D and the re-release of Avatar. The first clip shows Milla Jovovich and Ali Larter landing their plane on a Los Angeles rooftop to meet Boris Kodjoe, Kim Coates, and other survivors. Sony Screen Gems has released a new trailer for Resident Evil: Afterlife which sees Paul W.S. Anderson return as director after only writing and producing the previous two sequels.
Milla Jovovich returns as Alice, the super-powered heroine of the Resident Evil movies, who, alongside Ali Larter and Wentworth Miller (as game characters Claire and Chris Redfield), take on the evil Umbrella Corporation and the zombie virus that has taken over the world. Posted 06.21.10 by Ryan
Some recent photos of Resident Evil: Afterlife showed Milla Jovovich with actual zombies behind her, a rarity for a movie franchise born from a zombie-shooting video game. With Jovovich clearly the face of the franchise, it's no surprise that she would be the focus of the upcoming sequel's first teaser poster.
The latest photos, however, keep the focus on Ali Larter and Wentworth Miller posing, respectively, as game characters Claire and Chris Redfield. Miller and Larter were also the subjects of previously released photos, making it apparent that Sony Screen Gems is trying to keep some of the movie's surprises from getting loose prematurely. However, one of those surprises simply couldn't be kept secret. Find out what the secret is >> Posted 06.02.10 by Ryan
With Resident Evil: Afterlife not opening until September 10, Sony Screen Gems is slowly trickling out images from the upcoming sequel to bait fan interest. The first set showed returning star Milla Jovovich in a variety of poses. This next wave also includes Ali Larter and newcomer Wentworth Miller as game character Chris Redfield, in a variety of poses. There's even one photo that depicts zombies, an element that has been slowly decreasing from the zombie-game-turned-movie-franchise since the first Resident Evil hit theaters in 2002.
Shawn Roberts, who joins Afterlife to play the villainous Dr. Albert Wesker, told FEARnet that fans will be pleased with the zombies. See what Roberts said about the zombies and 3-D >> Posted 05.30.10 by Ryan
Over the weekend at San Francisco's WonderCon, writer-director Paul W.S. Anderson debuted the trailer for his latest movie, Resident Evil: Afterlife. The fourth Resident Evil in the franchise, Afterlife has the distinction of being the first to use 3-D. Anderson told Den of Geek what prompted him to use 3-D for this Resident Evil. Sony Screen Gems finally released five photos of its upcoming sequel, Resident Evil: Afterlife, which largely depict Milla Jovovich with a variety of guns.

Resident Evil: Afterlife is currently shooting in Toronto, and Milla Jovovich has begun using her Twitter account to update fans on their progress. She began by mentioning a scene with Ali Larter and Wentworth Miller "on a skiff approaching the huge ship" with the cast enduring freezing temperatures. Just a day later, a few photos from that set have surfaced online.
Missing from the photo is new cast member Sergio Peris-Mencheta, who ShockTillYouDrop reports was recently added to the cast in an unspecified role. If he's "lucky," he may end up in one of Jovovich's tweets.
so, Wentworth, Ali and i are doing this scene right now where chris r.[Miller] and clair r.[Larter] run into the V22 hangar, guns blazing, trying to shoot Wesker [Shawn Roberts], but to run in groups firing weapons is VERY dangerous. and the last time we all did a scene when we were all firing together, i could feel my hair flying up from the guns behind me.and one of Wenty's shell casings pegged Boris Kodjoe right on the ear. ouch.
and its supposed to be super heroic with all of us shooting thru a wall of undead as we run towards a potential escape route...but in the end we all end up looking like such a**holes, cause we're all trying to dodge eachothers bullets and shooting one another...tripping and sliding thru the gravel, falling in a most unimpressive manner! lol!so stupid! we look like such imbeciles!
And it was all captured in 3-D by writer-director Paul W.S. Anderson. Well, the whole episode might make the DVD. Posted 11.06.09 by Ryan
Milla Jovovich is using her Twitter account to update fans while shooting Resident Evil: Afterlife in Toronto, Canada.
wow, just finished a scene with Ali Larter and Wentworth Miller on a skiff approaching the huge ship.to say its cold is a joke.a bitter joke
ofcourse Ali and I aren't wearing much and to make matters worse Wenty is driving the boat himself and crashing it repeatedly! lol!
Jovovich is reprising her role as Alice from the previous Resident Evil movies, while Larter is returning to her Resident Evil: Extinction role of Claire Redfield, and Miller is making his Resident Evil debut as Larter's brother, Chris. Paul W.S. Anderson is returning to direct Afterlife from his own script, which he is shooting in 3-D. From Jovovich's tweets, it would appear that Anderson is planning a good deal of action.
the cast is going on set and we have a lot of weapons. Posted 11.04.09 by Ryan
Surrogates actor Boris Kodjoe recently Tweeted about his casting in Resident Evil: Afterlife, but he was far from done with giving out details about the latest sequel. Kodjoe told BlackFilm plenty of Afterlife details, including what character he would play.
I play the leader of the survivors in LA. Milla Jovovich's character, Alice, is roaming the world looking for survivors and she's wound up in LA, which has been burning for three years. She comes across an LA jail surrounded be these half-dead, uhh... Yeah, they're those monsters, what are they called?
They're called zombies. They're in the previous three movies, in the video games they're based on, and are sort of what the Resident Evil movies are famous for.
Anyway, she comes across the jail and there's a couple of survivors and she lands on top of the roof and partners up with me to fight the guys that are coming after them. We're trying to get all of the survivors out of the jail to safety. We're starting next week, actually.
Kodjoe won't be alone in the jail. He's getting help from another new addition to the Resident Evil acting pool and from a returning actor from Resident Evil: Extinction.
It's gonna be Milla Jovovich, Ali Larter, I'm the new one, and Wentworth Miller is also in the movie. He's the lead in Prison Break. He's playing a guy that we actually locked up when we took over the jail because we weren't sure if he was one of them or not. He comes into play as we try to find a way to get out with our survivors.
Resident Evil: Afterlife starts production in Toronto in a week. Paul W.S. Anderson is directing from his script. Posted 09.22.09 by Ryan
