While she has declared she isn't working on Bridesmaids 2, Wiig has been selecting her next projects to shoot over the SNL hiatus this summer and has settled on two: a remake of The Secret Life of Walter Mitty and The Comedian.
Starting in April, THR reports that Wiig will co-star with Ben Stiller in Walter Mitty, which Stiller will also direct. The remake has been in the works for years, and, at one point, had Mike Myers in the lead role.
Like the 1947 original, the movie will follow Stiller as a daydreaming magazine photo editor who finds himself wrapped up in an adventure when trying to find a missing negative. Wiig will play Stiller's co-worker and the girl of his dreams. more about both movies >> Posted 01.20.12 by Ryan
The first trailer for Robert De Niro's new movie, Being Flynn, is now online. It's based on poet and playwright Nick Flynn's 2004 memoir Another Bullshit Night in Suck City, in which he chronicles his unexpected reunion with his estranged alcoholic father at a homeless shelter in Boston.
Being Flynn marks a return to more dramatic material for writer-director Paul Weitz, who earned an Academy Award nomination for his 2002 dramedy adaptation About a Boy, but then subsequently strayed into parody (American Dreamz), fantasy (Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant), and comedy (Little Fockers, also with De Niro). The movie does not yet have a release date, but it is aimed at a Spring 2012 opening. read the synopsis and watch the trailer >> Posted 11.15.11 by BrentJS
Those who were hoping for a Face/Off reunion for Nicolas Cage and John Travolta had their hopes dashed when Cage dropped out of the wilderness action thriller Shrapnel in July, leaving Travolta and director John McTiernan (Die Hard, Predator) to find a replacement. Months later, McTiernan is out, the movie has a new title and Cage is being replaced by... Robert De Niro?
It's true. Deadline reports that De Niro is in for Cage, playing an American military veteran who is now living in a cabin in the woods. Enter Travolta as a friendly European tourist, who is a former Serbian soldier bent on revenge (Travolta finally gets to show off his Serbian accent). Once the truth is discovered, a one-on-one battle ensues. "We’ve never seen these two great actors on screen together before, and we’re excited to see what comes of the combination," said producer Avi Lerner (Drive Angry, The Expendables). more cast members for Bond 23, Stallone Gets in The Tomb >> Posted 10.31.11 by Ryan
So far, the promotional campaign for the upcoming thriller Killer Elite has released several preview clips, most of which showed a poorly mustachioed Clive Owen chasing Jason Statham either in a car or across a rooftop. Another clip saw Statham fight side-by-side with Robert De Niro, who also appears in the movie, but this most recent clip sees De Niro fight solo. watch the clip >> Posted 09.21.11 by Ryan

The upcoming thriller Killer Elite has had several new clips released of late, but none of them have featured Robert De Niro. The movie stars Jason Statham as an ex-special ops agent who comes out of retirement to rescue his mentor (De Niro), but most of the clips have shown Statham trying to escape from Clive Owen, who leads a group of assassins in the movie.

After pairing together for the March thriller Limitless, Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro are looking to reunite for The Silver Lining Playbook, the next movie from The Fighter director David O. Russell.
Based on the 2008 novel by Matthew Quick, The Silver Lining Playbook follows a former high school teacher who is released from a mental institution into the custody of his mother. He then tries to win back his ex-wife but falls for his neighbor instead. Cooper was originally attached to the role, but recently it looked like Russell was going to re-team with Fighter actor and producer Mark Wahlberg instead. Deadline reports that Wahlberg had to drop out due to scheduling issues, and now Cooper is back in talks.
What part De Niro will play is unknown, though the report adds that Jennifer Lawrence (X-Men: First Class) will play the part of Cooper's neighbor after Anne Hathaway has dropped out due to conflicts with her The Dark Knight Rises shooting schedule. Production will begin this fall. more Gangster Squad, Bowden becomes a nurse in 3D >> Posted 08.03.11 by Ryan
The upcoming action thriller Killer Elite won't be released until September, but that hasn't stopped Open Road Films from getting the word out. While the first trailer for the movie debuted in June, this week has seen the release of two preview clips as well as a brand new trailer (via SlashFilm).
Starring Jason Statham as an ex-special ops agent who comes out of retirement to rescue his mentor (Robert De Niro), Killer Elite's two preview clips all but ignored De Niro, something that the latest trailer wants to change. watch the trailer >> Posted 08.03.11 by Ryan

ComingSoon has the first look photos from director Gary McKendry's upcoming action thriller The Killer Elite that stars Jason Statham, Robert De Niro and Clive Owen. Owen appears fighting with Statham in an exclusive Collider image.
While The Killer Elite seems to borrow its title from the 1975 movie from director Sam Peckinpah, the movie's plot comes from author Sir Ranulph Fiennes' 1991 novel The Feather Men. In the movie, Statham plays an ex-special ops agent who comes out of retirement to save his mentor (De Niro) and must take down three assassins led by Owen. Fiennes claims that his book was based on true events, as it followed the assassinations of four former Special Air Service (SAS) by the hands of a hit squad called "The Clinic." A group of vigilantes known as "The Feather Men" go after the assassins. Peckinpah's Killer Elite was also about a private mercenary group, but was not based on the Robert Rostand novel Monkey in the Middle.
Opening September 23, The Killer Elite co-stars Dominic Purcell (Prison Break), Yvonne Strahovski (The Canyon), Aden Young (The Tree) and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra). Posted 06.20.11 by Ryan
