This week, body-builder-turned-actor-turned-Governor-turned-actor Arnold Schwarzenegger was cast in his first post-politics (and post-scandal) role in the chase movie The Last Stand with director Ji-woon Kim (The Good, the Bad, the Weird). Lionsgate confirmed the casting with their official announcement about the movie, which was initially written by newcomer Andrew Knauer and rewritten by Jeffrey Nachmanoff (Traitor).
"Arnold Schwarzenegger will bring incredible magnetism to this complex but classic role," said Lionsgate president Joe Drake. "When he came on the screen in The Expendables, it always electrified the audience. In this film, the Sheriff Owens character grapples with some really tough stuff, but ultimately triumphs, and we knew he’d truly elevate this high octane ride."
While it's clear that Schwarzenegger will be playing Sheriff Owens, the rest of the movie's story is explained in the movie's plot. read the synopsis >> Posted 07.13.11 by Ryan
