As if one new New Moon scene wasn't enough, Yahoo! has premiered a brand-new Volturi clip, complete with talking Aro, vampire action, and a very pale Edward (Robert Pattinson) getting his ass kicked.
Although this never happens in the book, Melissa Rosenberg looks to have done a great job spicing up the script, and has added more male-audience-friendly action. Aro (Michael Sheen), Marcus (Christopher Heyerdahl), and Caius (Jamie Campbell Bower) are finally seen in action, with Felix (Daniel Cudmore) and Demetri (Charlie Bewley) doing a stellar job as Volturi guards. Now, if only Bella (Kristen Stewart) didn't look so deer-in-the-headlights, we'd all be happy. Posted 10.22.09 by reelz
LaineyGossip has posted exclusive pictures and a video from the Eclipse opening sequence's filming.
Xavier Samuel (Riley) can be seen walking in the rain, while being shot for what is apparantly the scene set to open the movie. A still-human Riley is being chased through Seattle by the vampire Victoria before soon being outrun, attacked, bitten, and turned.
Although the book doesn't open with, or feature, this scene, we think it's a good move to kick things off with some action. A little extra content never hurts and, so far, Melissa Rosenberg's new scenes have only benefitted Twilight and what we've heard about in New Moon. If Stephenie Meyer is happy, then so are we. The Twilight Saga: Eclipse began filming yesterday and, according to Lainey Gossip, one of the first scenes to be shot was Jasper's historical flashback. Things are looking good for Twilight fans — with both Jasper's and Rosalie's flashback scenes on the cards, screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg already seems to be staying pretty close to the book. Now, if she'd just explain what appears to be a Jacob-Bella kiss in the new New Moon trailer (check it out below), we'd all be happy.
Kristen Stewart has also been spotted getting tested for new wigs, after chopping her long locks off for rocker movie The Runaways. Let's just hope it looks realistic, and not like Jackson Rathbone's curly mess they call hair. Posted 08.18.09 by reelz
According to Coming Soon, Eclipse, the third movie in The Twilight Saga, is due to start shooting August 17th at Vancouver Film Studios. Filming is scheduled to wrap on October 31st, with a domestic release set for June 30th, 2010.
Eclipse sees Edward, Bella and Jacob in an epic love triangle, as well as a huge fight between werewolves and vampires. Directed by 30 Days of Night's David Slade, and with a script from Melissa Rosenberg, Eclipse could easily be the biggest movie in the franchise. What do you think, Twilighters? Which movie are you most looking forward to? Posted 07.01.09 by reelz
While talking to E! Online, Twilight Saga screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg addressed the more-Edward-in-New-Moon rumors, as well as her personal pick for the character of Riley in Eclipse. She said:
In the book, [Edward]'s actually an enormous presence in [Bella's] mind. He's so present in her mind throughout the entire center of the book, so we really played off that, and it kept him alive in a slightly different way, but fans will feel it's true to the book. You can't have a Twilight without Rob Pattinson.
Whether this will go down well with fans is anyone's guess, as they're all very protective of the original source material. And rightly so, too. Why change an element that is adored by millions of Twilighters?
Rosenberg also talked about Channing Tatum, and how she feels he'd be perfect for the role of Riley in Eclipse. Well, he's definitely got the beefcake look going on, but a vampire? Hmm. He'd have to perfect a mean I'm-going-to-eat-you look first. Posted 04.28.09 by reelz
MTV confirmed that actor-turned-director Drew Barrymore will not be involved with third Twilight movie, Eclipse.
When asked about the rumor she said, "Oh, I wish that I was! I adore that project and I adore the team that's making it." We're sure Twilighters are breathing a collective sigh of relief at this news, as initial fan reaction wasn't what you'd call positive.
Eclipse is scheduled for a domestic release on June 30th, 2010, with Twilight and New Moon scriptwriter Melissa Rosenberg returning to work her book-to-screen magic. Eclipse sees the love triangle between Edward, Jacob, and Bella resolved, as well as a big fight involving bloodthirsty vampires and angry werewolves. Before you ask: Yes, it's very different than Underworld. No, really. Posted 04.16.09 by reelz
Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg's words have graced the small screen for years on popular shows ranging from Party of Five to Ally McBeal, The O.C. and Dexter. She made the transition to features with the sleeper hit Step Up in 2006 and now she'll have her biggest exposure yet translating the words of Stephenie Meyer for the first Twilight movie.
Although Rosenberg wasn't aware of Meyer's creation when she was first approached for the project, she quickly became a fan when a friend loaned her a copy of the first book. "I picked it up and devoured it in an eight-hour sitting," Rosenberg told ReelzChannel.
