The teaser trailer for the upcoming sequel The Hangover Part II simply revealed that "the Wolfpack is back," while the full-length trailer answered the question, "what are Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, and Zach Galifianakis gonna do — wake up in another hotel after a night of debauchery they can't remember?"
The answer, of course, was a resounding yes — it is called The Hangover Part II after all — and if the trailer felt the same as the first Hangover, there may be good reason. In an interview with ComingSoon at the recent CinemaCon, co-writer and director Todd Phillips revealed that shooting the sequel felt a lot like the first.
Hangover 2 more "epic" than the first >> Posted 04.06.11 by Ryan
[F]or me, day one of shooting The Hangover Part II was like we never stopped shooting the other movie. Surely, Zach and I had just done Due Date together and that came out six months ago, but everyone just fell into their thing, and there wasn't the nervousness that you always have at the beginning of your movie of like, "Where is this character coming from? What am I doing?" Everybody was so informed as to what they were playing, and I was informed as to what movie I was making. The cameraman was informed. It was just sort of was, in a weird way, so easy. The difficult part was just being in Bangkok and just being disconnected from everything else. It's not a very film-friendly culture, you know? So that part was difficult and the language and all that stuff, crews, it's harder, but the movie was just such a fun time because we all just sort of knew our roles.
Last month, a teaser trailer for the upcoming sequel The Hangover 2 debuted, claiming "the Wolfpack is back" and showing Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, and Zach Galifianakis walking up a street of Bangkok, Thailand, with a monkey in tow but without Justin Bartha, the groom lost in the original Hangover. In the recently released photos in Empire Magazine (via The Playlist), Bartha is also not pictured, something Bartha says is nit indicative in the sequel.
Doug isn’t lost in this one. There are similar circumstances, but he’s a little bit more involved.. cameos debunked >> Posted 03.15.11 by Ryan
Mel Gibson was originally set to cameo as a Bangkok tattoo artist in the upcoming sequel The Hangover 2 before his casting upset the crew and was eventually dismissed. Liam Neeson took over the role in the sequel, with his The A-Team co-star Bradley Cooper reportedly being "instrumental" in getting Neeson to agree to the cameo. While appearing on The Tonight Show (via Monsters and Critics), Neeson explained how "instrumental" Cooper really was.

[Previously] I said to Bradley, "Look, I will do anything in Hangover 2, you know, just open the door...the concierge...anything, you know, just to be with you guys." And then, one night, I was sitting [at home], I had put the kids to bed, I was watching TV, I was having a glass of wine, and I suddenly got this text from Bradley. It said, "Do you want to be in Hangover 2?" I was like, [pretends to sip his wine, then text] "Yeah. When?" And he texts back, "Tomorrow?" I went, [pretends to sip again] "Yeah."
This May, The Hangover gang returns to theaters for a sequel we're actually looking forward to. Instead of returning to Vegas, Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zack Galifianakis, and Justin Bartha are headed off to Thailand. This time for Stu's (Helms) wedding.
We know that Mike Tyson is back, Paul Giamatti is joining the the cast, and even President Bill Clinton makes a cameo. We also know that Mel Gibson's was axed. Now we have a clip of the cast talking about the movie and filming in Bangkok. (Any bets on how many jokes will reference that city's name?) watch the interview >> Posted 02.11.11 by reelz
The indie comedy Cedar Rapids is doing the rounds at Sundance, which has given Ed Helms the opportunity to talk about the movie and debate ReelzChannel about whether Sigourney Weaver's character is a "cougar" in the movie. Helms, known for his roles in the TV series The Office and last year's hit comedy The Hangover, finds himself in his first lead role, and says that it's weird being in "an Ed Helms movie".

It's incredibly exciting and daunting. The insecurity kicks in. "Well, how's the movie gonna do? How's this gonna affect me in terms of the work I can get later? Will people give me a chance to carry movies?" All of these bulls**t career questions start swirling around. But I'm just really proud of the movie. The people that I care about and whose opinions mean a lot to me, are liking it, and that's all I can hope for.
Hollywood Dailies' Jeremy Parson files his second blog about being in Park City, Utah, for the Sundance Film Festival. Parson got to talk to the cast of the comedy Cedar Rapids, chat up Ben Foster about his upcoming movies and talked to Golden Globe winner Melissa Leo. And, of course, he caught up on some 3-D. read Jeremy's blog >> Posted 01.24.11 by reelz
The trailer for Cedar Rapids debuted at the end of December and showed Ed Helms as a Midwestern insurance salesman who heads to the big city of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, for an insurance convention and has a life-changing adventure. While the movie opens in February, Cedar Rapids will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival this weekend (attendees will be able to walk into a full installation of the insurance office). Screen Junkies recently caught up with Helms, who described what kind of movie Cedar Rapids is. Hangover 2 went to "hell and back" >> Posted 01.22.11 by Ryan
The previously released first image of director Todd Phillips' The Hangover 2 showed the group of four friends (Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, and Justin Bartha) heading to the airport to start their trip to Thailand to celebrate Stu's (Helms) wedding. The two latest images show that things (expectantly) go a little awry on the trip.
One photo shows Galifianakis, Cooper, and Helms approaching a monkey dressed in a tiny, denim jacket (with Helms sporting a similar face tattoo to that of Mike Tyson), while the second photo shows the same three guys seemingly trapped in a room.
While the plot revolves around Stu's wedding to Jamie Chung, Helms recently told AccessHollywood that the movie won't revolve around his character.

There are narrative devices that hang around Stu, but it’s... not Stu’s movie. It is Alan [Galifianakis] and like Mike [Tyson] and everybody — the whole gang.
Want to see Ed Helms get wasted and go on a drunken adventure but don't want to wait for The Hangover Part II?
Well, there's the upcoming Cedar Rapids to quench your thirst until then.
The trailer for the comedy shows Helms playing a dweeby (that's a stretch) insurance agent who gets involved in some comedic antics when he attends an insurance convention.
Though this movie looks like a mainstream goofball comedy, it's actually a Sundance Festival selection and is being released by Fox Searchlight.
The movie also stars comic staple John C. Reilly. MORE >> Posted 12.28.10 by reelz
Warner Bros. is getting the word out about 2011. The Hangover 2 won't open until May 26, but a new photo and synopsis have been released.
In the follow-up to the record-breaking hit comedy "The Hangover," Phil (Bradley Cooper), Stu (Ed Helms), Alan (Zach Galifianakis), and Doug (Justin Bartha) travel to exotic Thailand for Stu's wedding. After the unforgettable bachelor party in Las Vegas, Stu is taking no chances and has opted for a safe, subdued pre-wedding brunch. However, things don't always go as planned. What happens in Vegas may stay in Vegas, but what happens in Bangkok can't even be imagined.
So that's why the photo shows the four friends walking through an airport. Jamie Chung was recently cast as Helms' fiancee, while Liam Neeson and Bill Clinton will cameo as a Bangkok tattoo artist and a former President of the United States, respectively. Todd Phillips returns to direct. Posted 11.24.10 by Ryan
