Who Should Rule Atlantis?
First appearing way back in More Fun Comics #73 (Sept. 1941), Aquaman is one of the oldest comic book characters in existence. His longevity in popular culture, coupled with his incredible powers — super strength and durability, telepathy, ability to breathe underwater — and the fact that he is also the king of Atlantis on top of being a superhero should place Aquaman in the upper echelon of comic book characters, yet he has always been considered something of a laughing stock outside of the comic book community. A popular subject of derision on TV shows like Saturday Night Live and The Big Bang Theory, Aquaman's only live-action highlights have come from his appearances on Smallville, as played by Alan Ritchson, and in an Entourage sub-plot in which the too-lean and not-blonde Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier) played the "King of the Seven Seas" in a faux James Cameron movie.
Apparently, there is some talk at Warner Bros. about bringing Aquaman to the big screen in a solo movie, but the studio is far more invested in developing Green Lantern 2, The Flash and Wonder Woman so Aquaman's big screen debut will likely be as part of the ensemble Justice League movie. Who do you think has what it takes to not only salvage Aquaman's reputation, but stand alongside Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and the rest of the Justice Leaguers on the big screen?

It looks like this holiday season is going to be chock-full of Twilight. First, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 opens just before Thanksgiving, giving fans an opportunity to watch the movie in theaters (again) as they're digesting turkey. Christmas is getting some Twilight action too, thanks to Hallmark's Eclipse-themed Christmas ornament. Now it's clear that New Year's Day is also getting a Twilight infusion with the 2012 Twilight calendar.
Some images of the calendar have been snagged by breakingdawnmovie.org, and it seems that 2012 is the year of the Cullen. Sure, there are two months of Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner), but it looks like all the rest feature a member of the Cullen family.
Sorry, werewolves, the vampires definitely win this round. Posted 07.18.11 by Mandy
At the 2010 Teen Choice Awards, where The Twilight Saga took home 11 awards, Access Hollywood caught up with stars Alex Meraz (Paul), Ashley Greene (Alice) and Jackson Rathbone (Jasper). It wasn't long before talk turned to the upcoming fourth movie Breaking Dawn, which has already caused quite a debate among fans of the well-loved saga.
Greene talked about how the Teen Choice Awards "definitely hit their [Twilight] demographic", while Rathbone joked about how noise levels caused him to "lose a certain amount of treble in his hearing". He went on to talk about the fans, saying "to have that adoration, that support and love, that's what you need as an artist. It really fulfills you". When will they shoot? Paramount has released a new clip from The Last Airbender to Yahoo!Movies. The movie is a departure for M. Night Shyamalan, who adapted it from the popular animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender. The movie follows Noah Ringer as the young hero Aang, who must bring peace to a world torn apart when the Fire Nation declares war with the Earth, Air, and Water Nations.
In the clip, Katara (Nicola Peltz) and Sokka (Twilight's Jackson Rathbone) see the impending doom when ships of the Fire Nation approach. Watch it below. Posted 06.25.10 by Ryan
Unlike his Eclipse co-stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, who have chosen to star in smaller, more intimate movies between each chapter in The Twilight Saga (Remember Me and The Runaways, respectively), Jackson Rathbone jumped at the chance to appear in another fantasy movie with franchise potential. He played Sokka in The Last Airbender during his downtime from playing a vampire. In a recent interview with MTV, Rathbone said that the chance to work with director M. Night Shyamalan was a huge incentive to star in the movie. Check on the interview and new creatures >> Posted 06.13.10 by BrentJS
As The Twilight Saga: Eclipse gears up for its June 30th release, Summit Entertainment is releasing new footage faster than Edward can run. The new scenes focus mostly on Edward, Bella and Jacob, but you'll be sure to get a good look at the wolf pack and the Cullens. Watch the new Eclipse clips >> Posted 06.11.10 by reelz
Late last night Summit Entertainment confirmed what Twilighters have assumed for a while: Breaking Dawn, the fourth book in Stephenie Meyer's series, will be split into two movies.
Fans can breathe a sigh of relief at the announcement, which also confirms that all the main cast members will be returning for both movies — yes, even Ashley Greene (Alice) and Kellan Lutz (Emmett). more on Summit's news, plus fan reaction >> Posted 06.11.10 by reelz
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse has been a bit quiet on the image side of things recently, but all that looks about to change as Summit Entertainment gears up for the June 30th theatrical release date. Several new movie stills have turned up this week, showing the Cullen boys, Edward and Bella pre-kiss and the nasty looking newborn vampires. more about the new Eclipse images >> Posted 05.07.10 by reelz
An early image of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse oversized 2011 calendar shows the cast as we've never seen them before — or in slightly different poses, at least.
Jacob (Taylor Lautner) looks mean and buff, while Edward (Robert Pattinson) seems his usual concerned self. It's no wonder Bella (Kristen Stewart) looks a tad stressed out — she's got a lot to contend with. If she's not choosing between vampires and werewolves, she's running from porcelain doll look-alike Victoria (Bryce Dallas Howard), and dodging creepy child vampire Jane (Dakota Fanning). It's hard being a mortal in Forks.
And let's not forget Jasper (Jackson Rathbone) who, to be honest, looks like he's seen much better days. We're not sure who styles his hair, but it's steadily getting worse with each movie. Look on the bright side — at least he doesn't resemble a meathead Jock gone wrong, unlike poor Emmett (Kellan Lutz). Be grateful for small mercies. Posted 04.21.10 by reelz
Today, Summit Entertainment surprised Twilighters with three anticlimactic stills from the upcoming movie The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. The new images are nothing we haven't seen before, showing the Cullens looking perplexed, Bella brooding, and Edward and Jacob mid face-off.
The Cullens are strangely color coordinated, and look like they should be in a denim commercial rather than gearing up to fight some badass immortals. continue reading >> Posted 03.31.10 by reelz
