The 20th Century Fox promotional department has been working overtime on the X-Men prequel X-Men: First Class, releasing — in just the past month — the first TV spot; the English equivalent of a Russian trailer; several international posters, character trailers, and banner ads; and earlier this week three TV spots and the first preview clip from the movie. With so much footage already revealed, we're beginning to wonder if director Matthew Vaughn has anything left to show audiences when First Class opens next month.
That said, there's more new footage found in yet another TV spot and French trailer. watch the trailers >> Posted 05.12.11 by Ryan
Shooting is currently underway on director Matthew Vaughn's adaptation of X-Men: First Class, and several updates on the anticipated movie have been released. Rather than be a sequel to the X-Men trilogy, First Class is a prequel set in the 1960's, focusing on the early friendship between Professor Charles Xavier, a.k.a. Professor X (James McAvoy), and Erik Lensherr, a.k.a. Magneto (Michael Fassbender) and the rift that tears their friendship apart. The U.K.'s Daily Mail have the latest set photos, which depict McAvoy walking through the rain-soaked streets of Oxford with Jennifer Lawrence (who plays shapeshifter Raven Darkhölme, a.k.a. Mystique) and Rose Byrne (who plays Dr. Moira MacTaggert, a love interest of Xavier's in the comic books). a scene gets recreated while another dresses down >> Posted 10.04.10 by Ryan
According to screenwriter Jane Goldman, production on director Matthew Vaughn's X-Men prequel, X-Men: First Class, is only "about three weeks" away, yet the cast continues to swell on a daily basis. On Sunday, it was reported that frequent Vaughn collaborator Jason Flemying would be joining the cast as Azazel, a demonic-looking mutant. On Monday, Oliver Platt was added to the roster as the mysterious "Man in Black." On Tuesday, popular movie news site Deadline revealed that January Jones would be playing the role of Emma Frost and not Alice Eve, as originally thought. Additionally, Deadline has reported that Zoë Kravitz (No Reservations), Bill Milner (Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll), and Morgan Lily have all joined the cast WHAT CHARACTERS WILL THEY PLAY? >> Posted 08.18.10 by BrentJS
