Look out for them Duke boys; they could be riding into theaters again soon. Or not.
The Dukes of Hazzard TV show enjoyed a successful run on CBS from 1979 to 1985 (with the exception of that Coy and Vance period), ending up on lunch boxes and Matchbox cars. The 2005 big-screen adaptation didn't experience the same success. The movie received mixed reviews, earned an unspectacular $111 million in worldwide box office, and spawned an unfortunate TV movie prequel, The Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning, in 2007.
However, Warner Bros. may still be trying to wring something out of the property — and, if rumors turn out to be true, it could mean a movie that wouldn't receive seven Golden Raspberry nominations. how will those good 'ol boys reach the big screen again? >>
