It's no secret that Vanessa Hudgens and Selena Gomez have had similar career trajectories. Both were Disney stars from young ages, and both have tried to break away from their sweet, good-girl type by taking edgier roles in movies like Spring Breakers. After watching footage of the pair on the talk show circuit, we have begun to suspect that the two also are members of the same hive mind. Take a look at the video and see how similarly they respond to questions.get the best of late night talk

How far would you go to have a good time?
Director Harmony Korine has never been one to follow convention, getting his start as the screenwriter for the 1995 cult, teenage skateboarding drama Kids before launching a career as a director with movies like 1997's Gummo, a loose pastiche of a stories set in the tornado devastated town of Xenia, Ohio, and 2009's Trashhumpers, which followed a group of Nashville, Tennessee, seniors who, um, really like garbage.
Korine's upcoming Spring Breakers may be his strangest yet, as it follows a group of best friends (Vanessa Hudgens, Selena Gomez, Ashley Benson and Rachel Korine) whose hedonistic pursuit of the ultimate spring break ultimately crosses paths with rapper Alien (James Franco), who employs the girls in some criminal activity. party with the best trailers

Those that enjoyed the 2008 family adventure movie Journey to the Center of the Earth might notice that Brendan Fraser is a no-show for the sequel, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island. In Fraser's place next to Josh Hutcherson's character of Sean Anderson, however, is Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, which seems like an upgrade, at least in terms of potential action scenes and certainly in the "pec pop" department (though Fraser will always reign when it comes to awkward clapping).
In Mysterious Island, Hutcherson discovers a coded distress signal that leads him to a, well, mysterious island that doesn't exist on any map. Johnson, Hutcherson's new stepfather, comes along for the ride, as well as a tour guide pilot (Luis Guzman) and his daughter (Vanessa Hudgens). Michael Caine plays Hutcherson's missing grandfather. watch the trailer >> Posted 11.10.11 by Ryan
If you've had a hard time deciphering just exactly what director Zack Snyder's (300, Watchmen) new movie, Sucker Punch, is all about or what genre it fits into, you're not alone. In a new ET Exclusive from the Sucker Punch set, actor Jon Hamm admitted that he was a little bit confused about the movie himself when he was offered the role of High Roller.

They said, you know, "Would you be interested in playing this part," and I said, "Explain it to me again. What's happening exactly?" ... People think that they're coming for one movie and they get a completely different experience. That's the sucker punch.

The hits just keep coming for boxing biopic The Fighter, expanding in wide release Friday. A critical darling, it's gaining mass appeal as Sports Illustrated calls it "The Best Sports Movie of the Decade" and puts Mark Wahlberg on the cover.
We've been wondering whatever happened to Lara Flynn Boyle — one of movies' all-time best femme fatales — and she appears to be either the victim of plastic surgery malpractice or another woman entirely. Or both.
In Romania for the filming of Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance, Nic Cage has added a profanity-laced tirade to his already impressive meltdown resume, screaming "Get in that car and walk away. I'll f*****g die because of honor. I'll f*****g die right now!" outside a Bucharest nightclub. Now the big question: Where to place him on our When Actors Attack: Top 10 Celebrity Outburts list? It's obvious to anyone who has seen the genre-blending still images, teaser clips, or trailer for Sucker Punch that director Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen) has another visually stunning action movie on his hands. But, ingenue action heroes with super powers? Super-sized samurai warriors? Giant robots with bunny faces? Just what the heck is going on? Something of a plot can be gleaned from the various synopses that have turned up online, but many questions remain. Fortunately, a new Sucker Punch featurette has just been released that sheds some light on what's going down at the creepy Lennox House asylum and why Babydoll (Emily Browning) and her cohorts are such badasses. Says Snyder:

Sucker Punch is a movie about the lengths we're willing to go to, in our minds, to deal with a situation.
Warner Bros. recently released a press kit that included two sexy new still images of the bad girls of director Zack Snyder's genre-bending new movie, Sucker Punch. The plot revolves around a group of young women, confined against their will in a sadistic psychiatric facility, who venture into a fantasy realm to discover a way to escape. The script was written by Snyder and Steve Shibuya. The grrrl-power cast includes Emily Browning, Abbie Cornish, Jamie Chung, Carla Gugino, Jena Malone, and Vanessa Hudgens. Studios often release clips of scenes before the release of a movie, but Warner Bros. is trying something different for Zack Snyder's Sucker Punch, releasing instead five clips with snippets of the movie's action sequences.
Sucker Punch follows Emily Browning as Babydoll, a young girl who is locked up in mental institution against her will. In order to create an escape plan, she enters the dreamworld of her imagination, where she has to fight samurais, robots, and dragons in order to claim five objects that will help her escape. watch all 5 clips (it won't take long) >> Posted 11.24.10 by Ryan
Yet another movie set joins the long list of recent productions to have their security breached by determined "spy" photographers. The latest is the Hawaiian set of Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, the sequel to the 2008 family-friendly hit movie Journey to the Center of the Earth. Very loosely based on Jules Verne's The Mysterious Island, the script for Journey 2 had to be reworked to feature Josh Hutcherson's character, Sean Anderson, after Journey star Brendan Fraser declined to reprise the role of Prof. Trevor Anderson. The large set of new pics include a few shots of Hutcherson, but they primarily focus on newcomer Vanessa Hudgens, who can be seen running in distress, lounging in the sand, and *gasp* using a port-o-potty. Dwayne Johnson, Luis Guzman, Kristen Davis and two-time Academy Award-winner Sir Michael Caine also star. read the synopsis of the movie >> Posted 11.17.10 by BrentJS
Vanessa Hudgens is looking to overhaul her image with her "kick-butt" character in director Zack Snyder's upcoming action fantasy Sucker Punch, and she wants to keep working in the action genre.
THR reports that Hudgens is joining the cast of Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, the sequel to 2008's Journey to the Center of the Earth. This time around, the returning Josh Hutcherson teams up with his mother's boyfriend (Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, replacing Brendan Fraser as Hutcherson's uncle) in order to find Hutcherson's missing grandfather (Michael Caine). Hudgens will play a "Pacific Islander who gets swept into the adventure" and ends up falling for Hutcherson.
Journey 2: The Mysterious Island will start production in late October under the direction of Brad Peyton (Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore). The story is loosely based on the 1874 novel Mysterious Island by Jules Verne. Posted 10.15.10 by Ryan
