In Inkheart, the movie adaptation of the first book in Cornelia Funke's Inkworld trilogy, a daughter discovers that her bookbinder father has the ability to bring book characters to life simply by reading aloud their stories. But the act is not without consequences, as both quickly discover.
Recently, we talked to Brendan Fraser and Eliza Hope Bennett about playing the father and daughter at the story's core. You could say Fraser was well suited to play his Inkheart character, Mortimer "Mo" Folchart -- author Cornelia Funke says he inspired the character in her novel.
We also interviewed Paul Bettany, who plays a fire-eating juggler and the villain's henchman. The Inkheart role was a lighter turn for Bettany, who said he wanted "to make a movie, finally, that my children can see." Posted 01.21.09 by reelz
