ReelzChannel Celebrity Rundown
Hollywood A-listers like DreamWorks' Jeffrey Katzenberg, Barbra Streisand, Salma Hayek, Tobey Maguire, and Jack Black attended a $40,000-a-plate fundraiser for President Obama Thursday night at George Clooney's home, raising a record-breaking $15M for the president's re-election campaign. "We raised a lot of money because everybody loves George," he said. "They like me, they love him. And rightfully so."
Remember Obama's 2008 "Hope" campaign poster? Turns out it was taken from a photo of Obama sitting next to Clooney. "This is the first time that George Clooney has ever been Photoshopped out of a picture," he said. "Never happened before, will never happen again."
But not every celeb is pro-Obama. While signing autographs for fans in New York, Beach Boys singer Bruce Johnston called Obama an "a**hole," adding, "Unless you're interested in never having any money and being socialized." Should we expect a "Help Us Romney" cover?
Still trying to think of something to get Mom for Mother's Day? Justin Bieber penned a song for his mom. The 18-year-old released the song "Turn to You" and is using the proceeds to raise money for single moms in need. Bieber's mom, Pattie Mallette, became pregnant with him at 18 and raised him on her own. "You worked two jobs, to keep a roof above our heads, you chose a life for me no you never gave up, I admire you, for the strength you’ve instilled in me," Bieber sings on the track. Try topping that with a Hallmark card.
Rihanna unfollowed ex Chris Brown after the singer tweeted lyrics from a song with Kayne West: "Don't f—k with my old bitch." Though he didn't mention Rihanna by name, most assumed it was her. Rihanna, who had collaborated with Brown on two songs in February, unfollowed him on the social network, and in return he did the same. "Assumptions!" Brown tweeted on Thursday. "I didn't say any names so if u took offense to it then its something you feel guilty about." Will she unfriended him on Facebook? That's when we'll know she's serious.
Sorry ladies, looks like the rumors are true. Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes were seen holding hands on the streets of New York. On Thursday, they were photographed after enjoying a leisurely lunch at Panya Bakery in the East Village. The two are rumored to have been dating for eight months.
And in sour milk news, we still can't stop talking about that Time cover showing a mother breastfeeding her three-year-old son. Kindergarten is going to be hard for this kid.
