Despite the fact that it won't start production until next year and has no firm release date, a teaser trailer for Anchorman: The Legend Continues arrived in theaters this weekend prior to showings of The Dictator. After only a day, bootleg versions leaked online of course, much to the chagrin of Paramount Pictures we're sure.
For those who skipped the poorly shot, cell-phone bootleg, the studio has responded with not one but two teaser trailers featuring the Action4 news team of Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell), Brian Fontana (Paul Rudd), Brick Tamland (Steve Carell), and Champ Kind (David Koechner). While director Adam McKay and Ferrell have just started writing the script, the one-liners here should suffice for fans of the 2004 original. watch the teasers >> Posted 05.21.12 by Ryan
The ending of Piranha 3D perfectly set up a sequel, but instead of continuing the action at Lake Victoria with the original cast, Piranha 3DD is heading for a water park with a whole new cast, director (Feast's John Gulager) and screenwriters (Feast's Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton with producer Joel Soisson, also from Feast, doing a rewrite). Principal photography began earlier this week in Wilmington, North Carolina, and Dimension sent out a press release to announce the start of production that gave a brief description of the sequel.
There’s something in the water . . . again. And this time no one is safe from the flesh eating fish as they sink their razor sharp teeth into the visitors of the best summer attraction, The Big Wet Water Park.
The Piranha 3DD cast will include Danielle Panabaker (Friday the 13th, The Crazies), Matt Bush (Adventureland), Chris Zylka (The Amazing Spider-Man), David Koechner (Anchorman), Meagan Tandy (Unstoppable), Jean-Luc Bilodeau, Hector Jimenez, Adrian Martinez, and Clu Gulager (Feast). The Playlist reports that the latest cast addition is Gary Busey in an unspecified role. who will they be playing? >> Posted 04.28.11 by Ryan
Director Joseph "McG" McGinty Nichol (Terminator Salvation) has been in production on the action/romance/spy comedy This Means War since September, but he's still adding cast members. The movie concerns two CIA agents and best friends (Chris Pine and Tom Hardy) who fall in love with the same woman (Reese Witherspoon).
THR reports that Abigail Spencer (AMC's Mad Men, the upcoming Cowboys and Aliens) has joined the cast as Hardy's ex-wife. Spencer joins a cast that also includes David Koechner (Anchorman), Chelsea Handler (Chelsea Lately), Til Schweiger (Inglourious Basterds), and Angela Bassett, who recently joined as the CIA boss who has dedicated her life to the agency and has no life outside the spy business.
Tim Dowling will end up with credit for the script, which has undergone several rewrites in its 10 year production history. This means War is expected to open sometime in the summer of 2011 and, from the recent spy pics released by HeyUGuys, it looks like Witherspoon, Pine, and Hardy are having a good time on the set. News of an Anchorman sequel began two years ago when Will Ferrell and director Adam McKay announced plans to make another installment set in the 1980s and then, last year, Ferrell began talking scheduling for the sequel. With the careers of cast members Paul Rudd, David Koechner, and Steve Carell blossoming next to Ferrell's, informal scheduling talks began last year. While assembling the cast again looked doubtful last year, McKay told MTV that the sequel is in Paramount's hands. read what director McKay said >> Posted 04.30.10 by Ryan
