"Miss Anders... I didn’t recognize you with your clothes on."
It's been 50 years this month since James Bond first made the leap from the printed page to the silver screen with the release of Dr. No in theaters. Six different actors — Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig — have played Ian Fleming's timeless character over the decades and, while his spy gadgets and cars may change, you can always count on Bond to surround himself with beautiful, resourceful, and downright deadly women.
Considering February is Bond Month on Reelz, we thought this would be a great time to look back at the sexy women who have helped to make James Bond the cultural icon of masculinity he has become. Is Ursula Andress's Honey Ryder still the top Bond Girl, the pinnacle of spy intrigue sex appeal, or is it time to christen a new queen?no such thing as too many bond girls

It's important to learn from one's mistakes.
The original fairy tale of Hansel and Gretel told of a poor woodcutter's family, who are so poor that they leave their children in the woods to fend for themselves because they cannot afford to feed them. Abandoned, the siblings find a house made of gingerbread and sugar that houses a blind yet cannibalistic witch who wants to eat them. Instead, Gretel tricks the witch and burns her alive in her own oven and the kids live happily ever after.
The upcoming horror comedy Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters continues the siblings' story, taking Hansel and Gretel (Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton) into adulthood, where they are now trained witch hunters that are hired to defeat a coven of witches and retrieve the children they have abducted. As the title indicates, the movie is a tongue-in-cheek affair, and a bloody one at that, as revealed in the second red band trailer (the first red band trailer was released in October), which offers a simple, yet effective, lesson that Hansel and Gretel live by.only the sweetest trailers

Which Actress Should Play the Last Princess of Alderran?
Now that Disney has expanded its library of fairy tale princesses to include its first space princess, the question is: How does the "House of Mouse" plan to utilize Leia Organa, last princess of the doomed planet Alderran, twin brother to Luke Skywalker, and daughter of evil Sith warlord Darth Vader. Concurrent with the announcement of the purchase of Lucasfilm Ltd., Disney revealed that Star Wars: Episode VII would be blasting into theaters in 2015, which we later learned would be written by Michael Arndt (Little Miss Sunshine); however, nothing about the plot has been revealed.
All three of the principal actors who starred in the original trilogy — Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher — have expressed interest in returning in the new movie and it's likely that Disney will want to capitalize on the popularity of Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Leia Organa, but whether Disney brings back the original cast members as a way of bridging the original trilogy with the new trilogy or reboots the characters with younger actors is anyone's guess. Considering how well Paramount's Star Trek reboot was received by the general audience and even die-hard Trekkers and Trekkies, coupled with the fact that Disney skews young, we're thinking Star Wars will get the reboot.
We already asked you to vote for the best actors to play Luke Skywalker and Han Solo. Now, we want to know who you think has what it takes to wag her finger in the face of evil as the feisty princess with a preference for scoundrels?

This is going to be one bloody fairy tale.
Actor Jeremy Renner has been on a roll ever since his Academy Award–nominated performances in The Hurt Locker and The Town, which have translated into roles in franchises like The Avengers, the Bourne movies and Mission: Impossible. There's no telling whether the upcoming horror comedy Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters will be the next franchise for Renner, as audiences won't know until early next year whether the decision to delay the movie (twice!) was a red flag or savvy scheduling. Considering what we see in the new, bloody red band trailer — certainly an improvement over the movie's first trailer — we're inclined to say its the latter, but time will tell.more grimm trailers

Still without a trailer but scheduled for a March release date, EW has offered the first look photo of Gemma Arterton (Clash of the Titans) and Jeremy Renner (The Hurt Locker) as the title characters in Paramount Pictures' Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters. As the title implies, the movie isn't your average adaptation of the classic Brothers Grimm fairy tale, with Arterton describing the movie as "very, very dark, and bloodthirsty" with "a lot of cursing" and a "[Quentin] Tarantino feel". We have to admit, it sounds intriguing.
Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters follows the title characters 15 years after the events in the story, having gone back and murdered the witch in the gingerbread house that was hungry to eat the two kids. Arterton says the German folktale is just the prologue to what happens in the movie.

You see a series of flashbacks with their experience of killing that first witch, which is brilliant. I remember being on set for the final few days of that. The candy house, and the witches are really repulsive and quite frightening. The make-up is out of this world. It’s this bone-chilling scene. Very dark. The girl who plays my character is brilliant, with the horrified expression she has.
Most of us are familiar the Brothers Grimm story of Hansel and Gretel, where two young siblings are lured to the gingerbread-ed home of an evil witch who intends to eat them, but is anyone familiar with the story of a grown up Hansel and Gretel who decide to become witch slayers? That's the version that screenwriter D.W. Harper and director Tommy Wirkola (Dead Snow) have brought to Paramount Pictures. Gemma Arterton and Jeremy Renner were cast in the title roles last month, with actress Famke Janssen (the X-Men trilogy) joining the cast as the leader of the witches earlier this month.
The casting progress is enough for Paramount to schedule the movie's release date, with Deadline reporting that the $60 million budgeted, 3-D movie is set for a March 2, 2012, release date. Hansel and Gretel's only competition for that weekend is Universal's The Lorax, which is also being released in 3-D.
Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters is being produced by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay, with McKay telling MTV last May that the movie was "one of my favorite projects."
The script is kick ass. It's one of my favorite projects. Wirkola is an unbelievable director. His script is awesome. We're all just giddy about that one...Also, the witches are awesome in it. Nasty, mean witches, and we'll get some great actresses for them as well.
McKay also expressed interest in turning Hansel and Gretel into a franchise. "If I step back, it feels to me like, 'God, I could watch a bunch of these, just having read the script and knowing what Wirkola's style is,'" McKay admitted. "I'd be very happy if he did three of them." Posted 02.19.11 by Ryan
While Christian Bale and Michael Caine will definitely appear in The Dark Knight Rises, director Christopher Nolan's follow-up to The Dark Knight, Nolan has been taking his time filling two female roles in the upcoming sequel. In November, Nolan compiled a shortlist of actresses that he planned to meet with for either a love interest or villain role. The list included Rachel Weisz, Naomi Watts, Blake Lively, Natalie Portman, Anne Hathaway and Keira Knightley, but latest shortlist includes several new names, with only two repeats. who's up for the roles? >> Posted 01.12.11 by Ryan
What if fairy tale characters Hansel and Gretel grew up to become witch hunters? That's the premise behind Paramount's appropriately-titled Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, which screenwriter D.W. Harper has fashioned into a "horror/action/comedy" for producers Will Ferrell and Adam McKay and Norwegian director Tommy Wirkola, who will be making his U.S. debut after receiving international attention for his 2009 Nazi zombieflick Dead Snow. Wirkola has assembled quite the cast for his movie as well.
Variety reports that Gemma Arterton and Jeremy Renner have been cast as the candy-loving siblings in the movie, which sees the characters 15 years removed from their initial witch encounter. Will their schedules permit? >> Posted 01.05.11 by Ryan
Much of the recent news (read: rumors) about three-time Oscar-nominated director Ridley Scott's as-yet-untitled prequel to Alien has centered around casting, but the Australian entertainment site What's Playing may have uncovered a much bigger scoop. The site recently claimed to have come across a draft of the script for the movie and published several interesting plot details before removing the information "at the request of the studio." Fortunately, WorstPreviews managed to copy the script scoops from the What's Playing article before they were taken down and they have published them on their own site.
Some of the plot details fall in line with what Scott himself has previously revealed about the prequel—such as exploring the identity of the dead "Space Jockey" glimpsed in Alien and the concept of terraforming planets—while others are a bit... out there. The scoops also contain a couple possible casting choices, including the return of at least one actor from the previous movies. But, don't take our word for it, read the plot details for yourself (with a grain of salt, of course). what did the supposedly leaked script reveal about the prequel? >> Posted 10.25.10 by BrentJS
Production on Men in Black III was set to begin in September, but two delays have shut down production until mid-November.
