First, it was Footloose.
Then, it was Dirty Dancing.
Now another iconic '80s classic is getting the reboot treatment.
John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, the duo behind last summer's hit Horrible Bosses, are in talks to take their script for a Vacation reboot into production, reports The Hollywood Reporter. There's been talks of rebooting the Vacation franchise for a few years now.
Daley and Goldstein's Vacation script will serve as a sequel and a reboot to the Chevy Chase franchise, with son Rusty Griswold (Anthony Michael Hall, Jason Lively, Ethan Embry, and Johnny Galecki have all played the character) taking his own family on vacation. Daley and Goldstein are slated to also direct the reboot after original director David Dobkin (Wedding Crashers) exited the project. more about Goldstein and Daley >>
