Last time we saw John McClane (Bruce Willis), he was saving his daughter (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) from cyber-terrorists in 2007's Live Free or Die Hard, but for the upcoming A Good Day to Die Hard, McClane will be looking to help his son Jack (Jack Reacher's Jai Courtney) instead.
As revealed in previous trailers, the fifth installment in the Die Hard franchise sees the elder McClane (Willis) travel to Moscow in order to help out his son Jack (Courtney), but in the latest trailer he learns that his offspring is actually "the 007 of Plainfield, New Jersey," forcing the McClanes to team up to dispose of yet another group of European terrorists. trailers that bring the family together

"We're not a hugging family."
Earlier this month, the teaser trailer for A Good Day to Die Hard, the fifth installment in the Die Hard franchise, was released online and, while brief on story, showed that the return of John McClane (Bruce Willis) was going to be filled with action.
The latest, international trailer borrows most of the teaser, but begins by slowing down the proceedings to show that A Good Day to Die Hard is a Die Hard movie after all. Starting with the use of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, the trailer is filled with homages to the first movie: McClane going to a new place for the first time, chatting with his driver about being a cop, and a group of European men causing explosions. There's also the inclusion of Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who played McClane's daughter in 2007's Live Free or Die Hard, though, this time around, it's McClane's son Jack (Spartacus: Blood and Sand actor Jai Courtney) that needs saving. Or does he? trailers that will knock your shoes off

John McClane is back. And so is John McClane.
In the world of television, sitcoms are often granted a longer life by introducing more children to the family unit or a new character to the workplace. The Die Hard franchise seems to be no different, with more children being added in each new sequel. John McClane (Bruce Willis) was tasked with saving his estranged daughter (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) from cyber-terrorists in 2007's Live Free or Die Hard and, in the fifth installment, A Good Day to Die Hard, Willis has to travel to Russia to get his son, John "Jack" McClane Jr. (Spartacus: Blood and Sand actor Jai Courtney), out of jail only to become involved in an effort to stop international terrorists or thieves of an European nature. The sequel won't be out until next year, but there's already a teaser trailer online that shows the McClane boys are going to see their fair share of action.yippie ki-yay trailers

Next year will see the release of A Good Day to Die Hard and, this time, John McClane (Bruce Willis) is getting help from an unexpected source. In 2007's Live Free or Die Hard, Willis was trying to rescue his estranged daughter (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) from cyber-terrorists, but A Good Day finds Willis meeting up with another of his estranged progeny, his son Jack. Jai Courtney (Spartacus: Blood and Sand) was cast in the role of Jack in February, which was described as "more of a hardass than his father."
That's basically the description Tom Rothman recently gave Collider at CinemaCon, where the 20th Century Fox chief spent a few days dishing about several upcoming Fox properties, among them A Good Day to Die Hard. Rothman admitted that he loves the Die Hard sequel, citing two reasons why the fifth installment will be "new" to audiences. the mcclanes head to europe >> Posted 05.01.12 by Ryan
Spartacus: Blood and Sand actor Jai Courtney has landed the coveted role of Jack McClane in A Good Day to Die Hard, the fifth installment of the successful franchise. The casting ends a global search for an actor to portray Bruce Willis' fictional son. It isn't great news for hopefuls Liam Hemsworth (The Hunger Games), Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad remake), and Ben Foster (Contraband), all of whom tested for the part last November. You have to give Fox credit; Courtney does look like he could be Willis' son in the photo above, likely taken from the actor's screen test with Willis.
After saving his estranged daughter (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) from cyber-terrorists in Live Free or Die Hard, Willis will travel to Russia to help out his estranged son Jack. "Jack may even be more of a hardass than his father," said a Fox press release (via THR). "Despite their differences, they must work together to keep each other alive — and the world safe for democracy." more about A Good Day to Die Hard >> Posted 02.23.12 by Ryan
