It's official: Jonah Hill is joining Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn in 20th Century Fox's up coming comedy Neighborhood Watch.
Last week, the recently slimmed-down actor was reportedly in talks for the movie, but concerns about his price tag made the casting questionable. Deadline reports that Hill is a go for the movie, though what role Hill will play is still unknown.
Written by Superbad's Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, the comedy sees Stiller and Vaughn start a neighborhood watch group as an excuse for dads to hang out together, and then uncover an alien plot to take over the world. Last month, actor-producer Tom Cruise was confirmed to produce and act in Paramount Pictures' adaptation of author Lee Child's novel One Shot. Finally, Cruise is getting some company.
Deadline reports that Rosamund Pike is in negotiations to take the female lead, that of a defense attorney named Helen Rodin. In the novel, Cruise's character, former Military Police Officer-turned-drifter Jack Reacher, investigates the deaths of five individuals, all shot by a lone sniper. Pike's Rodin is defending the man arrested for the shootings, and joins up with Cruise's Reacher to bring down the real culprits.
One Shot was adapted by screenwriter Christopher McQuarrie (Valkyrie, The Usual Suspects), who will also direct for the first time since his 2000 crime drama The Way of the Gun. Production on the movie will start this fall in Pittsburgh. No release date for One Shot has been announced so far.
Pike can be seen next in September's Johnny English Reborn, followed by the October comedy The Big Year and, next March, in Wrath of the Titans, the sequel to Clash of the Titans. Hill and dewitt to join Stiller and Vaughn in Neighborhood Watch >> Posted 08.17.11 by Ryan
Our first Facebook movie game, ClusterFlick, plays off that old "six degrees of separation" theory — you know, the one that has a certain Kevin at the center of the Hollywood universe. It's easy to play, but not so easy to win. The goal is to use the major cast of movies to get from Point A to Point B in the smallest number of moves.

"GyllenSwift" doesn't have a very good ring to it, and neither, apparently, did the Jake Gyllenhaal-Taylor Swift relationship, as the two-month experiment ended late last month. Sources told US Magazine the biggest problem was the 8-year age difference.
John Mellencamp is getting his "cougar" back on, as the 59-year-old rocker has been seen spending a lot of time with 49 -year-old Meg Ryan.
Yesterday the news was that Lindsay Lohan's Betty Ford Clinic catfight "violated probation" and she might be sent back to jail, but no sign of trouble today as Lilo has moved into a posh Venice Beach house located next to her ex-girlfriend, Samantha Ronson.
As Jersey Shore's 3rd season kicks off tomorrow night, the stars are in the news with new addition Deena Nicole Cortese telling Life & Style she's hooked up with three different guys in one night, and Snooki telling Ellen Degeneres that she used to binge drink so heavily she'd black out and end up in garbage cans once a month.

The script for the sequel to the 2001 comedy Zoolander is finished, according to Ben Stiller. "We just finished the script and hopefully we're gonna put it all together to shoot it next year," Stiller told HitFix.
Stiller confirmed in March that a Zoolander sequel was in the writing stages. He is working with actor/screenwriter Justin Theroux (who will also direct). At the time, Stiller said the sequel would find dim supermodel Zoolander, and fellow model and best friend Hansel (Owen Wilson) ten years older and attempting to re-establish themselves in the fashion world.
In March, Stiller also said that Will Ferrell's character Mugatu "definitely has to be a part" of a Zoolander sequel, but couldn't confirm Ferrell's return, only revealing that the actor will "hopefully" reprise his role.
Wilson, however, indicated that he would be returning. "I think there's a really good script and I think we're going to do it," said Wilson.
As for other potential cast members, actor Jonah Hill revealed last month that Stiller and Theroux had approached him about playing a role, and said he'd "love to be a part of it." Posted 12.13.10 by Ryan
When the first trailer for Little Fockers debuted, it seemed that the sequel would once again find Ben Stiller attempting to impress father-in-law Robert DeNiro in yet another comedy of errors. The latest trailer, however, shows that, instead, Stiller is trying to impress DeNiro so that he can take over as the family's patriarch in yet another comedy of errors. Also returning for more are Owen Wilson, Barbra Streisand, and Dustin Hoffman, whose character was initially left out of the sequel, but was brought back during reshoots. Footage of Hoffman can be seen in the new trailer. Watch the trailer >> Posted 11.10.10 by Ryan
News has been slow on the adaptation of 21 Jump Street, the 1980's TV show about a group of undercover cops that enter high schools to find drug dealers that Jonah Hill is writing, producing, and starring in. In September, it looked like Emma Stone might join her Superbad co-star in the movie's cast, but news of her being cast as Gwen Stacy in Sony's reboot of Spider-Man could make the actress too busy to do both. In a recent interview, Hill revealed that the project is very much in the works. 21 jump street is "next" >> Posted 11.06.10 by Ryan
After trying to carry comedy bombs like Meet Dave and Imagine That by himself, Eddie Murphy is joining Ben Stiller in the comedy Tower Heist, to be directed by Brett Ratner.
THR reports that Murphy will play a safe-cracker who joins Stiller and a team of building maintenance workers who decide to rob the penthouse resident, a wealthy Wall Street capitalist who defrauded residents of their pensions (Alan Alda). According to the report, Murphy may or may not betray Stiller and his crew.
The script has gone through a variety of writers and cast, at one point starring Murphy and Chris Rock. The latest rewrite of the script comes from Jeff Nathanson (Rush Hour 3). Murphy will also executive produce. Posted 10.14.10 by Ryan
