"Life as we know it will end in 90 days."
There's a reason why Max Brooks' 2006 novel World War Z became a best-seller and beloved work worldwide, and that was due to the care and detail the author took in reconstructing the zombie apocalypse through various stories from survivors told to an unseen narrator. It's never been an easy sell to readers that the upcoming movie adaptation was going to experience the zombie threat in real-time, with a synopsis revealing that the movie would follow U.N. Worker Gerry Lane (Brad Pitt) as he attempts to paste together a plan for humanity's survival.
The movie's first trailer and the subsequent Super Bowl spot did little to quell fan fears, showing Pitt trying to outrun zombies that can apparently work together in packs to form literal "zombie waves" or "zombie ladders" formed from ravenous undead. The latest poster only capitalizes on that creative decision, while the latest trailer tries to show that World War Z is, in essence, a thriller instead of a horror movie, with a globe-trotting Pitt trying to figure out how to stop the zombies before time runs out. . watch the trailer >> Posted 03.26.13 by Ryan
