"Life as we know it will end in 90 days."
There's a reason why Max Brooks' 2006 novel World War Z became a best-seller and beloved work worldwide, and that was due to the care and detail the author took in reconstructing the zombie apocalypse through various stories from survivors told to an unseen narrator. It's never been an easy sell to readers that the upcoming movie adaptation was going to experience the zombie threat in real-time, with a synopsis revealing that the movie would follow U.N. Worker Gerry Lane (Brad Pitt) as he attempts to paste together a plan for humanity's survival.
The movie's first trailer and the subsequent Super Bowl spot did little to quell fan fears, showing Pitt trying to outrun zombies that can apparently work together in packs to form literal "zombie waves" or "zombie ladders" formed from ravenous undead. The latest poster only capitalizes on that creative decision, while the latest trailer tries to show that World War Z is, in essence, a thriller instead of a horror movie, with a globe-trotting Pitt trying to figure out how to stop the zombies before time runs out. . watch the trailer >> Posted 03.26.13 by Ryan
"They cry, they plead, they beg… It gets embarrassing. I like to kill 'em softly. From a distance."
Journey along with a reluctant hitman in this visceral, neo-noirish mystery thriller that doubles as an allegory about free-market economies. "America isn’t a country. America is a business." >> Posted 03.22.13 by BrentJS
"We've lost the East Coast."
Zombie movies have always had a place among movie fans, but this summer, the first $100 million-budgeted zombie movie with a major movie star will make its debut with June's World War Z. Based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Max Brooks, fans have been waiting a while to see the movie — waiting patiently through a long production period that was only augmented by a six month delay and reshoots that would supposedly help fix the movie's ending.
Whatever problems surfaced along the way, the first trailer for World War Z arrived last November, and fans have been anxiously awaiting to see the next batch of footage. Mostly a continuation of the movie's trailer, some new footage is sprinkled throughout the Superbowl ad, but the message seems to be the same: zombie hordes have taken over the world and only Brad Pitt can save us all. watch the trailer >> Posted 02.01.13 by Ryan
After Sunday's Golden Globes ceremony, this weekend's horror movie Mama doesn't just star Jessica Chastain but "Golden Globe winner" Jessica Chastain. It might seem strange to see an award-winning actress in a horror movie, but the trend of respected actors taking roles in horror movies is on the rise. Just last year, Oscar–nominated actor Ethan Hawke (Training Day) starred in supernatural horror-thriller Sinster while Golden Globe-nominated Rebecca Hall (Vicky Christina Barcelona) appeared in British ghost story movie The Awakening.
Of course, horror movies have historically been a place where actors often get their start. In fact, a surprising amount of Hollywood stars and Academy Award winners and nominees have started their careers in the horror genre, and, in fact, some are still working in the genre. check out the list >> Posted 01.18.13 by Ryan
Everyone loves a good time travel movie and moviegoers got a good one with this thriller that starred two of the biggest stars on the planet. Why Does Pitt Look So Crazy? >> Posted 12.31.12 by Chris
Is it fast? Is it undead? Does it swarm? It's... a zombie?
The upcoming adaptation of World War Z has suffered through a series of what seemed like bad news lately, starting with Paramount delaying the movie until 2013. Then came word of reshoots, followed by the news that screenwriters Damon Lindelof (Lost, Prometheus) and Drew Goddard (co-writer and director of Cabin in the Woods) were brought in to help fix the movie's ending, followed by the rumor that star and producer Brad Pitt was no longer on speaking terms with director Marc Forster(Quantum of Solace).
Finally, some good news has arrived for World War Z. The first trailer has been released, and it doesn't look like a movie in trouble. Fans of Max Brooks' best-selling novel are instantly going to be disappointed that the book's flashback structure has been abandoned for a linear one, and zombie fans will be divided on the running zombies used in the movie versus the more traditional stumbling zombie. Otherwise, World War Z looks like it could be an entertaining zombie epic with Pitt traveling the globe in an attempt to end the seemingly endless stream of the undead.racing to find all the latest trailers

"Have you ever killed anyone? They get touchy-feely."
For anyone that saw 2007's The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, it shouldn't be any surprise that Killing Them Softly, which reunites Jesse James writer-director Andrew Dominik and Brad Pitt, is about more than just your average crime thriller.
Based on the 1974 novel Cogan's Trade by George V. Higgins, the Palme d'Or–nominated Killing Them Softly follows Pitt as mob point man Jackie Cogan, who is hired to investigate the heist of a mob-protected poker game. Co-starring James Gandolfini and Ray Liotta, the first trailer showed some of the humor that's filtered through the movie's hard-boiled characters, but in Interview (via The Playlist), Pitt revealed that Killing Them Softly is more than a tongue-in-cheek tale about hitmen and the mob.the toughest trailers

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie first met on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith back in 2004, and less than one year later — after Pitt's divorce from Jennifer Aniston was finalized — they were the hottest celebrity couple in the world. Now, seven years and six children later, it appears as if "Brangelina" may finally, truly become united...as a married couple. Rumor has it that the lavish 50th wedding anniversary party planned for Pitt's parents, Bill and Jan, taking place this weekend at Chateau Miraval in France is actually a front for Pitt and Jolie's own nuptials.
