Though many child stars have trouble getting work as they grow into adulthood, Daniel Radcliffe, who played Harry Potter for ten years, is having no problems in that regard. It has just been announced that Radcliffe will star as the bicorned Ig Perrish in the movie adaptation of Joe Hill's Horns.
Last year, Transformers star Shia LeBoeuf was attached to star in Horns, but it's clear that author Hill is on board with this new casting decision. He addressed the news on his blog earlier today.
It probably goes without saying that I’m amped beyond all rational measure. I could not be happier about the casting of Daniel Radcliffe as Ig Perrish. My fanboy feelings for the Harry Potter pictures are well-established, but aside from that, I thought Woman in Black was one of the best horror films of the last decade, and the picture worked because of Radcliffe’s quietly focused performance. I hope Horns serves the kid just as well.
Radcliffe had success with Woman in Black earlier this year, and will star in next year's Kill Your Darlings playing the twentieth century poet Allen Ginsburg, so it's clear that he is having no trouble distancing himself from the boy wizard. Posted 07.16.12 by Mandy
