The cast for Seth Rogen's directorial debut, The End of the World (formerly The Apocalypse) continues to grow. Last year, Rogen revealed that Jonah Hill, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, and James Franco would play versions of themselves in the movie, which will follow Rogen, Jay Baruchel, and the rest of the cast as they are holed up in Franco's apartment while the world crumbles. Baruchel revealed in 2010 that one of the movie's running jokes will be a series of Hollywood celebrities who will cameo as corpses. Well some of those cameos are starting to be revealed.
On the heels of Franco's slip that singer-actress Rihanna has a "a little part" in the movie, THR reports that Emma Watson, Jason Segel and David Krumholtz will also appear as themselves in the movie, though the extent of their cameos is unknown. Watson's appearance could be tied to her history with the Harry Potter franchise, as Rogen admitted last September that Daniel Radcliffe was up for a role, but that the actor wasn't "willing to push things as far as we [are]."
The End of the World is based on the 2007 short Jay and Seth vs. the Apocalypse and is written by Rogen and his co-director Evan Goldberg, Rogen's writing partner on Superbad and Pineapple Express. The movie is scheduled for a June 14, 2013 release date. Watson can be seen next in The Perks of Being a Wallflower, opening on September 21st.
