"You have no idea what men of power can do!"
When No Way Out arrived in theaters in the summer of 1987, audiences were just starting to take notice of Kevin Costner because of his appearance one month earlier in The Untouchables and Australia-born Kiwi director Roger Donaldson was a complete unknown. Only a few years later, Costner would be one of the hottest leading men in Hollywood and the Academy Award-winning writer and director of Dances With Wolves, while Donaldson would achieve incredible success with such varied movies as Cocktail and Species, but No Way Out is what brought both men to the fore.
A crime thriller set during the Cold War, No Way Out stars Costner as Tom Farrell, a heroic Naval officer hired to work at the Pentagon for Secretary of Defense David Brice (Gene Hackman) and serve as his liaison to the CIA. When Brice finds out that his mistress (Sean Young) has been cheating on him with another man, he kills her and tasks Farrell with the job of hunting down her lover. The only problem? Farrell was her lover. Love, lust, murder, corruption, No Way Out contains all of the ingredients of a classic crime thriller, with enough twists and turns to leave you guessing right up until the very end.no way out

"Welcome to Indiana basketball."
You would be hard pressed to find a sports fan who didn't include tonight's primetime movie in a list of the best sports movies of all time, typically somewhere near the top. Though constructed on a rather formulaic underdog plot, the nostalgic setting of Hoosiers in a '50s-era Middle America town that cherishes its high school basketball team and the outstanding performances by Gene Hackman as the new coach with the troubled past and Dennis Hopper as the town drunk seeking redemption elevate the movie beyond cliché to timeless classic status.
Written by Angelo Pizzo and directed by David Anspaugh — the same creative team behind another sports movie classic, Rudy — Hoosiers was inspired by the true story of the Milan High School basketball team that won the 1954 Indiana state championship despite the overwhelming odds stacked against them. While away the first night of fall by returning with us to a time when small town high schools still competed against bit city schools and everyone got a chance to make a comeback.hoosiers
