Harry Potter movies will be hard to come by in stores next year, seeing as Warner Bros. is going to stop shipping Potter DVD and Blu-rays starting December 29th. But stores are sure to be chock-full of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 discs starting on Friday, November 11. If the upcoming moratorium isn't enough to convince Hogwarts lovers to buy the movie right away, perhaps the whole host of special features that have been steadily leaking out will.
One of the best special so far, found at Snitch Seeker, features a press conference held this past summer. Cast members were asked to recite their favorite line spoken by their character during the series. While Emma Watson's (Hermione) and Jason Isaacs' (Lucius Malfoy) choices are a little unexpected, nobody will be surprised by the line Julie Walters (Molly Weasely) chose. watch the clip >> Posted 11.09.11 by Mandy
What does actor Gary Oldman think of most "behind-the-scenes" featurettes that show up as special features on DVD and Blu-ray releases? Well, he apparently doesn't think very highly of them, and he isn't shy about saying so.
In the trailer for When Harry Left Hogwarts, a true documentary directed by Morgan Matthews, it's clear that this isn't just another "Look What Fun We Had Making This Movie!" type of special feature. From the candid responses from Helena Bonham Carter, Jason Issacs, and Oldman, to the frank conversations with stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson, to the very serious advice Emma Thompson has for her for young co-stars, this is obviously a documentary that delves a little deeper. Ask and you shall receive. After seeing the newest poster for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 featuring Harry and the gang, we mentioned that we'd like to see a Death Eater version of this poster. Now there is one! Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes) is, of course, the primary villain featured, though he is flanked by Bellatrix Lestrange (Helena Bonham Carter) and Lucius Malfoy (Jason Isaacs). This is the first poster released for Deathly Hallows: Part 2 where the Death Eaters are finally showing some wear and tear. In the previous images, Voldemort and his cohorts all looked like they had come straight from a rather formal dinner party, or perhaps a royal funeral, and only the heroes looked like they had seen some action.
So what other posters are still needed? Maybe one featuring Kingsley Shackelbolt, Nymphadora Tonks, and Alastor Moody? What promotional images would you want to see? Posted 06.15.11 by Mandy
Last June, Liam Neeson admitted he was going to meet with Taken producer Luc Besson to "hash out" plot details for a possible sequel to the 2009 thriller, which became a $226 million worldwide hit. A month ago, Neeson mentioned that Taken 2 was in script stages and could have Neeson himself be the one that is "taken."
So with Neeson seemingly in favor of the sequel, how is it that Neeson almost didn't reprise his role as retired government operative Bryan Mills? Neeson needs a break >> Posted 03.17.11 by Ryan
After title star Daniel Radcliffe recorded a personal message announcing the 50-day countdown to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, we all kind of assumed that Warner Bros. (WB) would begin to roll out a ton of awesome promotional material for the movie. Unfortunately, all that WB has released since Radcliffe's announcement is one set of movie posters after another, including this set of four new posters — really just a tease to hardcore fans who are dying for some new footage or at least a sneak peek behind the scenes of the movie. Thankfully, Potter fans can look forward to weekly "Muggle Minutes" segments on Hollywood Dailies and ReelzChannel correspondent Jeremy Parsons' upcoming three-part Deathly Hallows Spotlights from his visit to the set in England.
