A couple new clips from the upcoming comedy The Hangover -- which follows three friends who must piece together a wild, Las Vegas stag party they can't remember and find the bachelor before the wedding -- arrived online. The first clip finds the bachelor (Justin Bartha) in happier times as his father-in-law (Jeffrey Tambor) lets him borrow a prized automobile:
In the second clip, Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, and Zach Galifianakis talk to Heather Graham to see if she can help them find Bartha: Posted 05.19.09 by Ryan
Oh happy day. An increasing diva-like Michael Cera has reportedly agreed to do the Arrested Development movie. Sources tell E! that Mitchell Hurwitz is writing the script and Ron Howard will direct for Fox Searchlight.
This follows optimistic news from the Oscars, where Howard told Ryan Seacrest, "It's looking very much like we're going to make [the movie], but we've now been asked to stop offering any details. It's cloaked in a little mystery, but it's looking good."
Cera was allegedly that last holdout amongst the cast, with Jason Bateman, Portia de Rossi, Will Arnett, Tony Hale, Jessica Walter, Jeffrey Tambor, and David Cross reportedly already having agreed to do the flick. Posted 02.26.09 by reelz
Prepare to be Arrested at the movie theater soon! Several reports, including this one from IGN say that the gang from Arrested Development will be getting back together for a big-screen version of cult TV series.
Actor Jeffery Tambor, who played Michael Cera's imprisoned grandpa on the show, recently announced, "The movie is going to happen this year, and Michael Cera is on board. Trust me." And a cornered series creator Mitchell Hurwitz has backed up that statement saying, "I'm really optimistic. We're getting close."
Some concern has been raised about getting the series breakout star Michael Cera to sign. He's gone A-List since the TV show ended, but both Hurwitz and Tambor sound optimistic, with Tambor adding, "If I have to call him up and say, 'Get on set right now, young man,' he'll be there." It's been a while since we last heard news regarding the long-gestating Arrested Development flick, so last night we pressed Jeffrey Tambor, who was out promoting the Blu-ray release of Hellboy II: The Golden Army (which is awesome, btw), for an update on the status of the proposed Bluth family reunion:
"We're doing it," said Tambor, who received two Emmy nominations for his work as twin brothers George and Oscar Bluth on Mitch Hurwitz's critically-acclaimed -- and tragically short-lived -- sitcom. "I'm telling you, we're doing it...I talked to Mitch this week and it's a go."
"There's gos and there's gos," Tambor quickly clarified, adding that he hasn't seen a script yet. "I just know that Ron (Howard, AD's producer/narrator) is on board, Mitch is a go, we're all on board."
If Ron Howard can't get an Arrested Development movie made, then nobody can. Now it's up to Mr. Hurwitz to furnish a script (seriously, what's the hold-up?), and us AD fans can finally begin the process of finding some closure. "We need to come full circle, don't you think?" said Tambor of his Bluth comrades.
We couldn't agree more. Posted 11.12.08 by reelz
