At this point, the Expendables movies follow a predictable promotional trajectory. First, there's a teaser, which reveals the absolutely enormous cast, and then comes posters, which reveal the movie's enormous cast, and the first of many trailers, which also reveal the movie's enormous cast. To the point, the latest footage arrives in what Yahoo calls a "roll call.".
Joining Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham,Dolph Lundgren, Jet Li, Terry Crews and Randy Couture are Wesley Snipes, MMA fighter Ronda Rousey, Kelsey Grammer, boxing champ Victor Ortiz, Kellan Lutz, Antonio Banderas, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Harrison Ford and Mel Gibson.
As for the plot, well, it looks like Stallone and the gang will be facing off against Gibson — who is starting a streak of playing villains after last year's Machete Kills — a ruthless arms dealer who helped found The Expendables but was thought dead. Stallone then brings in new team members in an effort to stop Gibson from destroying them all.
In other words, Gibson is evil, things will explode, shots will be fired. In an Expendables movie, does anyone require anything more?
