Those lucky enough to win an Oscar should at least know how to hold it, right?
Good thing for Academy Award winners there is British Oscar expert, Sir Cecil Worthington.
Mike Myers plays Worthington in new Oscar video, produced by Funny or Die. In the video, Kevin Kline, who won the 1989 Best Supporting Actor for A Fish Called Wanda, is forced to take a "refresher course" on Oscar Etiquette. And the proper way to hold an Oscar? "Keep the thumb below the bum."
Oscar winners also apparently need to know everything there is to know about the Oscar. How much does an Oscar weigh? 8.5 pounds.
Interesting to see Myers working with the Academy given that he's yet to win or even be nominated for an Oscar. watch the clip >> Posted 02.21.12 by Chris
Academy Award–nominated writer-director Lawrence Kasdan's last two directorial efforts — 2003's Dreamcatcher and 1999's Mumford — weren't critical disasters, but didn't exactly set the box office on fire, either. Still, after writing the scripts for Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Empire Strikes Back, and writing and directing movies like The Big Chill, Silverado and Grand Canyon, we're always interested in what Kasdan is working on.
His latest movie, Darling Companion, stars Diane Keaton as a woman who finds a dog that she eventually loves more than her husband (Kevin Kline). When her husband loses the dog, she enlists a search party to help find it, including a psychic (Ayelet Zurer). Set for an April release, Yahoo! has released the first trailer for the movie. watch the trailer >> Posted 01.24.12 by Ryan
The clip released in December for director Ivan Reitman's No Strings Attached was a little lackluster, which may be why Paramount has decided to release a raunchy, red band trailer for the romantic comedy, which sees Ashton Kutcher and Natalie Portman as two friends who decide to enter into a commitment-less, physical relationship with (hopefully) hilarious consequences (as anyone who has had such a relationship can relate). The trailer includes language, bare butts, and Kevin Kline (not necessarily in that order), so make sure you're in a safe place before watching. watch the trailer >> Posted 01.04.11 by Ryan
Kevin Kline plays an eccentric playwright who fancies himself to be the ideal escort for wealthy New York Women in The Extra Man, an offbeat comedy that opens in limited release on July 30. That same day, Kline talks to Leonard Maltin on Secret's Out.
From his early roles in Sophie's Choice, The Big Chill, and A Fish Called Wanda, for which he won an Oscar, Kline has gone on to appear in nearly 40 movies. He's also has a robust stage career, for which he's won two Tony Awards.
Tune in for the Secret's Out premiere on Friday, July 30, at 5:30 PM ET / 2:30 PM PT. Or catch one of its encore showings. Posted 07.24.10 by reelz
