For those hoping for a sequel to last summer's breakout comedy Bridesmaids, the upcoming comedy Friends With Kids might be the best substitute, at least in terms of cast. Written, directed, and starring Kissing Jessica Stein's Jennifer Westfeldt, Friends With Kids includes several Bridesmaids actors, including Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Chris O'Dowd and Westfeldt's real-life boyfriend, Jon Hamm.
Friends With Kids centers around a group of mostly married friends in their 30's who are at that moment where most are having children. The last two single friends (Westfeldt and Parks and Recreation's Adam Scott) make a decision to have a child together but still date other people (Ed Burns and Megan Fox, respectively). The movie premiered at The Toronto International Film Festival last September to mostly positive reviews, and was quickly picked up by Lionsgate. Set for a March release, the first trailer for the movie is finally online. watch the trailer >> Posted 01.12.12 by Ryan
Universal Pictures has released the first trailer for Bridesmaids, the comedy produced by Judd Apatow (Knocked Up, Funny People) and directed by Paul Feig, best known for creating the short-lived TV series Freaks and Geeks (which Apatow produced).
The movie stars Kristen Wigg (who co-wrote the screenplay) as a woman whose life unravels when she is asked by her best friend (Maya Rudolph) to be her Maid of Honor. watch the trailer >> Posted 02.02.11 by Ryan
Since MacGruber premiered at the South By Southwest Film Festival in Austin, Texas, any speculation that it might actually be an elaborate hoax and not a real movie has been laid to rest. Now, Relativity Media has released a new theatrical poster for the movie. Unfortunately, even though it's billed as "...the best action-comedy since Beverly Hills Cop," the poster is actually a pretty boring, action movie-style poster that barely hints at the movie being a comedy (we're only giving comedic points to Will Forte's mullet and Kristen Wiig's "sexy" mom jeans). continue reading >> Posted 04.03.10 by BrentJS
