Earlier this month, Demi Moore was cast as feminist author Gloria Steinem in Lovelace, the biopic about the life and career of the late 1970's porn star Linda Lovelace. Only three weeks later, Moore has dropped out.
Moore's recent hospitalization was cited as the reason for the actress' sudden exit and her recovery will be keeping her busy. "Because of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health," said Moore's rep in a statement to THR. "She looks forward to getting well and is grateful for the support of her family and friends."
Just as Moore has dropped out, Chloë Sevigny has joined the cast, THR separately reports. Sevigny will play a feminist journalist working for a men's magazine that is on assignment to uncover the real Lovelace (Amanda Seyfried).
