After releasing a preview clip last week, Twentieth Century Fox is offering two new scenes from its Honest Abe–vampire mashup. Based on author-screenwriter Seth Grahame-Smith's book of the same name, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter blends historical facts from Lincoln's (Benjamin Walker) life and career with details of the former President's secret attempts to rid the United States of the bloodsuckers plaguing the country.
The previous clip showed Lincoln and William Johnson (Anthony Mackie) taking a train trip to Gettysburg that had both men fighting vampires en route. While one of these new clips is also devoted to showing Lincoln fight vampires, the first looks at Lincoln's early tutelage under his fanged mentor Henry Sturges (Dominic Cooper), who helps Lincoln perfect his ax-wielding skills. watch the clips >> Posted 06.19.12 by Ryan

Jessica Chastain has starred in a variety of movies already this year from the spy thriller, The Debt, to the heavy drama of The Tree of Life, just to name a few (there were five others just this year). In September, Chastain forged ahead with yet another role, landing one of the two leading female roles in the upcoming sci-fi epic Horizons, opposite Tom Cruise. She could also end up playing the late Princess Diana in an upcoming biopic as well.
Thompson on Hollywood reports that one of the projects that might move forward after being announced at the American Film Market is Caught in Flight, which would see Chastain as Diana in a story described as "love story between a princess locked in a tower and an ordinary man". The story is based on the secret love affair between Diana and heart surgeon Dr. Hasnat Kahn and reportedly portrays Diana as a "damaged person who stalks the doctor after he ends the affair".
The script for Caught in Flight was written by Stephen Jeffreys (The Libertine) with German director Oliver Hirschbiegel (Five Minutes of Heaven). Should everything move forward, production begins in the spring of next year. Rufus sewell starts a war in Paradise Lost; Miley Cyrus is Dracula's daughter >> Posted 11.08.11 by Ryan

Abraham Lincoln is a popular figure in movies these days with not one, but three upcoming movies dramatizing the life of the former 16th President of the United States. The first of the three is director Robert Redford's The Conspirator, which is set at the end of Lincoln's life and the trial of those that conspired in the President's assassination, and opens tomorrow, April 15.
2012 will see two movies about Lincoln: first is director Timur Bekmambetov's adaptation of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter which blends historical facts with the President's vendetta to rid the world of vampires, and then, later that year, director Steven Spielberg's biopic Lincoln, which is based on Doris Kearns Goodwin's best-selling book, Team of Rivals, which explored the political battles between Lincoln and his cabinet.
