With the release of the final Harry Potter just a week away, Potter frenzy is reaching an all-time high. Today, a few
hundred thousand lucky Londoners are at the worldwide premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 with the cast of the epic movie saga in Trafalgar Square.
For us unlucky Americans, we will have to wait until July 15 to watch Potter's epic batter against He Who Must Not Be Named. But to tide us over until then, we have eight, yes count 'em, eight new clips from Deathly Hallows. watch the 8 Harry Potter clips Posted 07.07.11 by Chris
In just two days Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 premieres in London, but those of us who are stateside still have another 10 days to wait. The good news is that there's a new clip of the movie available. While much of the promotional material for the new movie (especially the posters) have focused on the epic Battle of Hogwarts, this clip features the heroes in Bellatrix Lestrange's Gringotts vault and the quest to find the remaining horcruxes. When Alfonso Cuaron asked the heroes of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban to write an essay on their characters Daniel Radcliffe (Harry), Rupert Grint (Ron), and Emma Watson (Hermione) all responded very much like their characters would have. Grint blew off the assignment and didn't write one word, Radcliffe wrote a couple pages, and Watson wrote an extensive and detailed report. In an interview with Empire magazine a few weeks ago, Grint admitted that his own personality has merged with his character creating a "Ron-pert" person.
Well Ron's not the only Weasely to be portrayed by someone very much like himself. In a recent interview with Parade James Phelps reveals that he and his twin brother Oliver have at least one striking similarity to Fred and George Weasely: They like to play pranks. more on the Phelps and Deathly Hallows: Part 2 Posted 07.05.11 by Mandy
In 2007, pretty much every bookstore in the U.S. and U.K. had a party to celebrate the final book in the Harry Potter series, but where's the party now that the final movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, is being released?
One party that sounds pretty good is at the Hippodrome Wide Screen Cinema in Charleston, SC. It includes a costume contest, trivia games, and themed drinks and candy. The theater also has a beer and wine license, so hopefully the butter beer will be a little more potent than just some cream soda with a shot of butterscotch flavor thrown in. The end is coming for Harry Potter.
For fans, this isn't the easiest time, since July 15's bow of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 is the final installment of the movie franchise, which began adapting the Harry Potter novels by J.K. Rowling more than 10 years ago.
From the very start, the villainous Voldemort (eventually personified by actor Ralph Fiennes) loomed over Harry's (Daniel Radcliffe) existence and, in the Deathly Hallows Part 2, Harry finally confronts Voldemort once and for all, as seen in the movie's first preview clip.
Warner Bros. just released a somber, final trailer for the movie, which starts with Harry as a young baby and builds to the "final battle" with explosions, running, spells, more running, fire, dragons, jumping from tall heights, and everything else that awaits fans in the final conclusion. watch the trailer >> Posted 06.16.11 by Ryan
Where has the time gone? It didn't seem long ago that Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson were a trio of prepubescents with amazing on-screen charm but very little acting chops. Since then, they've gone through eight movies in 10 years, puberty, improved thespian talent, and in Radcliffe's case, a birthday-suit appearance on Broadway.
The fun is coming to an end on July 15, when Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 arrives in theaters and concludes the run of cinematic adaptations of J.K. Rowling's landmark book series. In anticipation, Warner Bros. has released a production featurette that opens with none other than Radcliffe, Grint, and Watson during their screen tests for the very first movie, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.
Good grief! Were they really that young?! See the screen test >> Posted 06.08.11 by reelz
With a Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 poster featuring Harry released earlier this week, followed by a Hermione poster yesterday, it was inevitable that a Ron would be close behind.
Today a poster with a head-and-shoulders shot of Rupert Grint was released. Like Harry and Hermione, Ron is a tad battle worn in the character poster. What's different here from the previous two is that the poster gives a glimpse of something we haven't seen before: fiendfyre. AKA "cursed fire," it's a piece of dark magic that's quite difficult to control, especially if an unskilled, wannabe dark wizard tries to cast it. Just sayin'. Come to think of it, the fiendfyre explains the embers floating around in the other two posters.
Will there be any more character posters released? It would definitely be cool to see some Death Eater posters next. Posted 05.25.11 by Mandy
With only 50 days left until the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, Empire has devoted a big chunk of its new issue to all things Harry Potter. The magazine features an interview with one member of the core trio, Rupert Grint, who plays Ron Weasely. He has apparently become quite attached to his character over the years.
It's all kind of embedded in me; we've almost become the same person over the years, sort of merged into this Ron-pert. Even now.
Grint also commented on the battle scenes, and from his description they sound to be just as epic as they were in the book. more on the battle scenes; plus harry and draco sitting in a tree? Posted 05.25.11 by Mandy

For 10years, Harry Potter fans have literally watched the actors grow up on screen. When we first met Daniel Radcliffe in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, he was a cute little 12-year-old wizard in training. In this summer's Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, he's a grown man taking on Lord Voldemort.
As fans prepare to watch Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint take on their famous roles for the last time, ABC Family has video of the last scene the three filmed for Deathly Hallows: Part 2. It's not anything epic, just the three jumping onto a mattress against a green screen but for fans who have watched them in all eight movies, it's sure to be a memorable shot. watch the final scene >> Posted 03.23.11 by reelz
