Why should people donate during this holiday season?
Giving to others reminds me how grateful I am for all of the blessings in my life. I had a wonderful childhood and a great family, if I can enable even one person to have a positive experience during the holidays, or anytime, it’s all worth it.
How do you give back?
As a former Social worker who worked with foster youth, I have become very passionate about their plight. I continue to mentor teenage foster youth, to provide a healthy role model that is committed to remaining in their life forever. Sometimes having an adult show you how special you are, someone who believes in you, can make all the difference.

Favorite celebrity that gives back? Why?
George Clooney. It seems that any time a crisis comes up, Clooney is the go-to-guy in Hollywood that helps to rally the showbiz community to reach out to those in need. He uses his platform for good, which I think is a great thing.
Why should people donate during this holiday season? It’s a great opportunity to intentionally become aware of the needs of those around us. Many of us get to enjoy blessings in excess, especially during the Holidays but there are those who go with less, or even nothing, and it’s a beautiful way to tap into the spirit of giving by donating to those who really have some pretty significant needs to be met.
How do you give back? My family and I made a tradition of going into the city on Christmas Day to hand out goodie bags to the homeless. Also, I take advantage of many opportunities to serve the community through my church. Recently I was able to volunteer at a Carwash that was raising money for funeral costs after the untimely death of their son, and am currently helping out with a Thanksgiving food drive to help some of the under-privileged families in our community.
