Production has begun on Warner Brothers' upcoming Superman reboot, Man of Steel, and instead of allowing "spy pics" to deliver the first look of Henry Cavill in the title role, the studio has released the first still of Cavill in costume. While the picture is a little on the dark side, at least in terms of lighting, it looks like Superman has a longer cape and a more pronounced "S" on his chest.
In a recent interview with Total Film, Cavill described the feeling he had when he first tried on the iconic costume. "It’s extremely cool," said Cavill. "There’s no other feeling like it."
They just put it on, I turned around and look in the mirror and you can’t really play it cool — you sort of guffaw and laugh. I thought "OK, holy hell, this is real, it’s not a joke anymore. This is it...you’re doing it, you’re right in the middle of it."
