Not surprisingly, Lifetime has canceled its two-hour "Marrying Hef" special. That said, they've been filming the couple for months, so perhaps a "Ditching Hef" special is on the horizon?
Building on his comical tweet about revised weekend plans, Hugh Hefner has decided to slap a giant red "Runaway Bride" sticker on July issue of Playboy, already printed and heading to newstands with "Mrs. Crystal Hefner" on the cover.

Like Marlon Brando before him, Russell Crowe could play Jor-El (or, in layman's terms, Superman's biological father) in director Zack Snyder's upcoming franchise reboot, Man of Steel.
Variety reports that Crowe is "in negotiations" for the role, which Brando most recently reprised posthumously (via unused footage from 1978's Superman) in 2006's Superman Returns. According to the report, Sean Penn and Clive Owen were also possibilities for the role before it landed with Crowe. All we can say is: Well done, Warner Bros.

Two years ago, the Oscars surprised everyone by announcing that for the first time in over 65 years, the Best Picture category would include ten nominees instead of the usual five. No doubt this was in response to bitter public backlash over the exclusion of popular, critically acclaimed movies like The Dark Knight and several Pixar projects.
After a couple of award seasons and a little bit of data to go on, the Academy has decided that it's time for a change again. This time, the number of Best Picture nominees can vary, and the public won't know the result until the day the nominations are announced.

Crystal Harris has called off the wedding to Hugh Hefner days before they were set to wed, as rumors swirl of a fling between Harris and Dr. Phil's son Jordan McGraw.
We strongly suspect the whole planned wedding was an elaborate PR stunt in the first place. The Post's Page Six claims Harris was shopping for a $500K media deal to ditch Hef at the altar and grant an exclusive interview to tell about it; on Friday the July issue of Playboy hits newsstands with Crystal on the cover; and Hefner doesn't seem that broken up about it, tweeting that his new plans for Saturday involve seeing Runaway Bride.

After next month's Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 movie hits theaters, Emma Watson's role as Hermione Granger will be over, ending a 10-run as the character. But fans of Watson won't have to wait too long to see her again. The actress is already shooting a new movie, the dramatic comedy The Perks of Being a Wallflower, and graces the cover of the new Vogue.
The first photo of Emma on the The Perks of Being a Wallflower set has been released.The movie is based on the 1999 book of the same name by Stephen Chbosky, who is also directing the movie. Watson plays Sam, a college student and party girl who falls in love with the main character, Charlie, played by Logan Lerman. It was Lerman who posted the photo of Watson's face behind the Wallflower book from his Twitter account.

Kim Kardashian is getting all riled up. In Touch published a story accusing her of a five month affair with New England Patriots safety, Brett Lockett, while she was dating her then-boyfriend, now-fiance, Kris Humphries. Kardashian calls the story "RIDICULOUS!!!!" on her blog and says that Brett Lockett "should be ashamed of himself. Calling up a magazine and making up an entirely fake story just to get attention!?!?! It's just shameful and this guy should feel ashamed and humiliated." Whether or not she is faithful to her man, at least we can be sure that Kim Kardashian loves extraneous punctuation.
Kardashian's lawyer also responded, sending a letter to In Touch (obtained by TMZ) that essentially says: if you run the story, we will sue, and we'll take Brett Lockett to court too, if he doesn't retract his allegations.
