Tonight the Hope for Haiti Now telethon airs live on a number of networks at 8 PM ET (5 PM PT), including ReelzChannel. Many of Hollywood's top names have joined this effort to raise funds for the victims and people of Haiti after last week's devastating earthquake. But it's not just the list of performers and presenters that's star-studded, George Clooney told MTV:
You got about 130 to 140 actors, athletes, singers, and television hosts, and they're all coming up not to be on TV, but simply to answer the phones.
All proceeds from the telethon will be split evenly between The Clinton Bush Haiti Fund, United Nations World Food Programme, Oxfam America, Partners in Health, The Red Cross, UNICEF, and the Yele Haiti Foundation.
