the movie is kinda wierd but i like it
what happened to this movie
just seen this flick and its sucks big time. Sam Jackson was in it a whole 5 minutes, and the rest was a lame ghost story that had me wishing that I hadnt spent the 4 bux for the ticket. Cusak is a better actor than to be in this dred. Goes to show you what you'll do for a buck. Dont waste your cheese. Rent the DVD instead, in fact...dont.....its not even worth a rental. Not scary at all.

I entered the theater expecting this to be a typical teenage horror film with a basic plot and only mild twists and turns. I was pleasantly surprised by the physcological nature of the film and the high caliber cast. Sameul L. Jackson was at first laughable because of his ***ociation with last years thriller "Snakes on a Plane", but his superior acting skills overcame my desire to laugh. An unusual role for Cusack, but somehow fitting for him to be the drunken travel book writer who finds himself in the horrors of 1408. Overall, a well made and nontypical scary movie.
Thrills and chills are plentiful in this film. However, the story seems to not connect itself with its other parts and sometimes the story appears to be a little sloppy. But suspense it fantastic and the acting is just good. I would certainly recommend this film.
