i loved this movie, gibson did a great job, but we already knew that. it was like magic.
Unfortunately, I have a feeling Apocalypto is all too realistic. I've read quite a lot about that era. And director Mel Gibson is committed to realism. I know that the European explorers who arrived among the Aztec and Mayan people were shocked by the sacrificial blood that they found everywhere. Some of them began trying to preach Christianity (Roman Catholicism) in Spanish to them.
