One of my all time favorite films! OK, I admit that I’m prone to using superlatives and finding something good in almost everything that flickers on a screen, small or large! But this film earns them on numerous levels and is one I watch again and again; each time noticing different subtleties I’d missed the previous 30 times. I love the immersive visual quality of Ridley Scott's film making and his ability to make me feel like I'm right there in the creepy doll maker’s loft with Rutger Hauer and Darryl Hannah in the 21st century. The sound track is mesmerizing, haunting and artfully orchestrated to complement the film. A favorite detail, the miniature origami pieces.
