I was very disppointed in the movie. I felt it was very dry and it dragged on..and ...on. I expected more action. I am sorry I paid $9.50 plus popcorn to see this movie.

This is far and away the most powerful and awe striking movie ever made about Elizabeth I. Cate Blanchett was indescribably brilliant in portraying not only the awesome power of Elizabeth I; but also her vulnerability, her loneliness, and her fears. Cate and the other cast members and crew of this movie will not only be nominated for major awards, but they will win some as well. I am glad I went to see it by myself because it moved me so much I was balling my head off at the end. I believe that people that understand Elizabeth I as I do will also have similar emotional reactions to it. And, I think it is going to be a huge box office hit. Time will be the one telling the real story about this movie!!

This really isn't a sequel to me. See the firstmovie dealt with the first few years of her reign, this one deals with te later years and mainly focuses on the Phillip of Spain, and Mary Stewart (Mary Queen of Scotts) situation. I want oee this so mcuh. Te extended preview ade me leap up in my seat it was so wonderul. only hpe the movie lives up to its exectations.
I loved the first one, but this one looks even more amazing. Ok... so it's a little sketchy on the historical accuracy part... but It's a great story about a historic female action hero - the original female action hero (sorry, Joan of Arc). I can't wait to see this one. Oh... and Clive Owen. Mmmmm... Clive Owen.
Saw the trailer for this last weekend and it looks pretty good. I'm not normally big on this type of historical costume movie, but this looked like it had a little action and suspense to it as well. From what I saw in the trailer, Kate looks like she's really got her teeth into this role. Buzz says early Oscar contender.
