im not a big fan of evans cap but who knows ill give him a shot. it will just suck if its like bana and the hulk and three years from now they will have to try again. the movie all depends on the red skull. he has the potential of being one of the greatest bad guys of all time in a film and in marvel there isnt much to beat out. hope they pull it off i know ill be there opening night

he is not playing human torch anymore...the entire fantastic four series is being rebooted, new cast, new directors the whole nine...chris evans will be captain america and the cap only in the the ongoing movie creaetd marvel universe
I don't know much about the movie but I do know that Chris Evans IS playing Cap. Is it just me or does anyone else see the stupidity of a comedic actor playing Mr.USA? He better pull a serious Heath Ledger in this movie or I'm going to be seriously angry at Marvel for this crap.
i can tell u right now that chris evans was a good cast for captain america...once the movie hits the theatres u will realize it 2...this is the perfect role for him to show versatility whihc i truely feel he possesses...and they picked him totally under the radar which i really liked.... there were all these other guys rumored 2 b front runners n he got picked from one interview cause marvel just knew they could feel it
I'm so happy that namor and buckey and the ohter invaders will be in this movie...these characters and movies make me feel like a kid again...i would have never thought these would turn into multi-million dollar grossing movies bu they have and i love it...it makes me have something 2 look forward 2 n talk bout wit some of my closest friends...i can't wait for the cap tio come out i just know it is going 2 b awesome and set up the avengers so well...i can't wait 2 c all the different characters on one screen together in big battles...it is going 2 b sick...i know i probably sound like a tool but I can't help it...i really want 2 c who is going 2 b playing the star-spangled hero
i def. think going with a know name for this is perfect because captain america is perfect for some new up and coming guy...you don't want some big shot actor that is going to kind of downplay the subtlety of captain america...the thing about the cap is he is not flashy...he is very quite somber and humble man for what he is capable of him and he is this type of innocence that would be displayed through a new young actor...i really want to know who they are going to pick and i can't wait to hear about the script stages and the initial phases for this movie...does ne1 know the time frame of when a trailer will be out for this movie? if so get back 2 me
channing tatum....he's movies all ****in suck and he is a horrible actor...marvel you can't mess this up captain america is too important for the rest of the marvel movies and the avengers...ryan phillipe is a good actor but i don't like him for this role he is to soft and delicate looking...the cap is the softspoken yet hard and staunch superhero...when he walks in2 as room he is both impressive but humble at the same time...if they are going high profile i say brad pitt...i think aaron eckhart since apparently twoface is in fact dead would also make a great cap...but not channing tatum i'm sorry but he can't act 4 ****...there have got 2 b some people who agree wit me
i think chris evans could be a good pick...i'm used to seeing him as more of a funny wise guy in his ohter movie roles but this could be good...he will have to step up 2 this role as people will be expecting alot out of it but i really like his look and def. think he could pull of the star spangled hero...i hope it is him over ryan phillipe or garbage channing tatum
really like the cast...i think he has a great oppurtunity to do something big in his career...in the fantastic four as the human torch and the few other movies i've seen him in...he has that wise ass kind of funny guy thing down...this role will really show if he is versatile...cap is that stal wart staunch yet humble hero who is always looking out for the good of the team and his friends and people in general...he has the build down and let's face it chris evans is not ugly...captain america was that all american good looking guy in the comics and i think evans has that look...i'm happy with the choice and for some reason i have faith in evans 2 pull this role off great...lookin forward to plot details and the furhter information on this movie
am i the onyl person tha thinks kellan lutz is to much of pretty boy for captain america...the cap is handosme but in a a mature sophisticated way...not like a faggy abercrombie model look
Finally they are in initial phases and have some screenplays...i think this movie will b awesome n if done right the avengers should kick ass

If seth rogen plays captain america or will smith...no one will watch this movie...i'm sorry i love both of these actors, especially will smith but no way...neither one of them fit the description of captain america...seth rogen is chubby and if he were to play cap before the super soldier serum it would be all wrong...cap before the super soldier serum is skinny not chubby and rogen just doesn't fit the decription at all...i hope this is a rumor...if you use seth rogen then use CG for after the serum, the movie will lose credibilty and people will lose interest...this is captain america the leader of the avengers this movie has to be done right otherwise people duhc as myself will not want 2 c the avengers because captain america will be done all wrong...I believe it should be doen like spiderman...whoever is going to be him should be filmed at first when they are not as big and then they should bulk plus proper camera angles can be used to make the cap look like his jacked stunning self...i want to see a red skull story line and when this movie show its tie to the avengers i;m going to go out of my mind with excitement...do this right please i wish i could be on as an advisor for the movie because i loved the marvel comics and tv shows so much...can't wait to to see this on the big screen...always looking for some feedback
O.K. Real Super Hero Fans, Pot Smokin Loser boy Seth Rogen at The Star Spangled Avenger, first of all this tub of **** cant get out of his own way, second, it was dated April 1st, (April Fools Day) third, if one other nit wit suggests someone like (I can barely reach the step ladder, Christen Bail) I am gonna puke! Take a good look at Neal Mcdononough for the role, he has the height, the physique and well, the ability to act. I am not only a fan of Marvel, but a financial supporter and have over (o.k., nuff said, lets just say a lot of damn money in their stock) if they pick the wrong guy, I am out and they can kiss hind tit! Thanks for letting me vent about the blatent stupidity I have read here!

nevermind i no who he is and yes while he would need to bulk up more he does posses the right look...but this would be a huge step up from any of his other roles n im not sure if he could fulfill this role...this role requires a very talented actor...then again I would have never thought tobey mcguire would have made such a great spiderman and it turned out well, for the frist two movies...i give u props steverogers19 because Neal def has the look
I agree with indybruce98 Aaron Eckhart would be a good Cap. I hope we can get glimpse at some of Stan Lee's character qualities and philosophies in the Captain America character.
I think christan bale would be a great cap. he has already played in a bunch of superhero movies. the movie is going to be awsome.
