This was a great film! It had a great plot and storyline to it. I never really thought that James Franco can be a funny person, but after I saw this film he proved me wrong he was hilarious in this film, and Seth Rogen was funny like he is in every film. This film had all of the elements to a perfect movie it was funny, it had action, but they needed to add a little more funny to make this movie perfect. I now think that Judd Apatow makes all of the funny movies now because every movie he makes is really funny, and I really like his film work. If I were you I would go see this film, and give it a grade of an A. ~MovieFan89~
ok i just saw it.its about this guy named dale(seth rogen) and he smokes,he has a 18 year old girl friend thats still in school.Dale goes to his lazy drug dealer Saul(james franco)to check out the new shipments of weat.Saul shows Dale the drugs that are called the pineapple express and it ends up that Saul is the only man who has pineapple express.Mean while asians and these under ground drug dealers are having a drug war to see who can stay on top.A asian man sneaks into the house of a drug lord witch his name is ted.Ted and the asian start to fight and teds partner (witch is a cop) comes in with a gun,she starts to shoot at him.Then ted grabs his gun shoots the asian man till he's dead.It ends up that Dale saw the murder while he was smoking pineapple express and totaly freaked out and dropped the pineapple express he tried to drive awway but he was so scared it took him a while to just leave his parking space.Ted and the cop run out of the house to catch him but he already went away.Then Ted finds the pineapple express on the ground smokes it then knows what it is and he knows the only man who has pineapple express is Saul.Dale runs for his life tells Saul about the murder,then dale totaly freaks out Dale barfs every where,so they know clue wher to go so they just drive their car into a forest and stay there for the night.they go see Saul friend Red and then drag him along. its a wild adventure with the most unlikely action heros and a very good plot.it is a very funny movie i think people who like super bad and nocked up should watch this. STEP 1: go to rent it any where i dont care STEP 2: watch it. STEP 3: when its over laugh you ass off over and over again
my best bud(123thatisme)wants to see it so bad...well im going to see tonight and hes going to beet me to death when i tell him that i saw it!so tomarow ill make review on the movie!if i live!

This Movie was great.james franco is hilarious and seth rogen is a riot. rosie perez is priceless when she acidently shoots sum guy on the street and yells "sorry"... the entire cast rocked it out,and i loved it so much everytime i go out i say thug life..lol
I was very excited to step into the theater doors to watch the next best stoner film, Pineapple Express. I could tell that the rest of the audience was getting the same vibe. As the lights dimmed someone yelled, “Pass the bud!” and our ride on the Express began. The laughs were endless for me. I was literally unable to hold in it. It helped that the entire theater was laughing along, of course, as most of us related with the content. The involvement of the audience brought up the excitement in the movie. I specifically enjoyed the claps to the impressing “cross joint” scene. I will admit that if you have never “experimented” with the good old herb, you probably won’t enjoy this movie. This movie grabs you in the beginning to prepare you for some great comedy and gun-loaded action. I thought that the blend of action and humor for this film set well into place and proved its originality. James Franco, as Saul the dealer, surprised me with his impressive comedic skills. I am hoping that he explores this talent and continues to work with the ever so amazing Judd Apatow. I believe that Seth Rogen’s performance as Dale comically pleased me as he did in the hit Knocked Up. I liked how this movie depicted friendship as it is in our own lives, giving even more realism. The rest of the cast didn’t fall too short from the main characters. I thought everyone in the film did great and worked well together. In conclusion I suggest everyone kick back, get comfortable, grab some munchies, and enjoy the high
I really like watching this movie. It wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be but in my opinion, it was better than Step Brothers. Very funny and random.
Pineapple Express is not quite as good as I expected; one could say I compared it a tad unfairly to Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Knocked Up, my 2 favorite Apatow movies. But this was advertised in comparison with those movies, so I don't think my comparison was that unfair.This doesn't have much of the brains, importance, or *dare I say it*charm*nevermind* of the previous two, but it most likely wasn't meant to. I didn't care that much about the characters (they were getting shot left and right and doing pretty bad things, i.e. selling weed to kids), so there leaves that. But at the same time, thecertain parts of this movie were just too damn funny for me to not recommend this movie in some way. Though, the last half hour or so truly goes overboard with Tarantino-level expliotative violence. All in all, it was fun,. but nothing really special.
I was really excited to see the movie but it wasn't what I expected....the first 20 or 30 minutes were sort of boring but they most of the fighting scenes came along. the funniest is when James Franco and Seth Rogan confront Franco's character's drug dealer. The fight had me laughing so hard my sides hurt...I recommend seeing it in theaters or renting it, it's not really won't buying on dvd but see it anyways.
Hilarious movie. Franco, McBride and Rogen rule.And teenbeat's still cool. Even though she didn't like this movie.
